Labrinte1.GIFWEEK 1 - Having had time over the Christmas holiday season I have spent some focussed time in prayer and meditation!

Not just talking to God, although sometimes in our busy lives it might be talking at God!  But also giving time to listening to God, but then thinking through the actions, consequences and fruit of talking the steps God is setting before me.

I am so clear that it is easy to assess the instruction from God, weigh it in the balance and then decide that personally it is too difficult, too unpalletable or too painful.  Over many years of experience where God has brought me back to the same learning again and again, until I have yielded to His will and said OK Lord, then I have not really got to the place where I need to be.

A long ime friend of ours Jonny Baker produced a very good activity for taking time to meditate and consider what God is saying to us, its known as the Labyrinth.

You can try it on line, please don't try and do this in a rush, take time, probably about 40 minutes, see what God is saying to you, I know the greatest changes God has made in my life have been by changing me rather than changin the world around me.

Why not take some steps of contemplation.
