Week 10 (4/3/07) - It matters for persistent, reliable and resilient growth that we are rooted well, supported, feed and watered on good and healthy things.

So as Jesus parable on the Sower talked of 30, 60 or 100 fold, he suggested that for seed planted in good soil would really bear fruit in adundance.  So we need to make sure we are rooted in good soil, being fed and nurtured on good things.

Are we grounded and rooted in Christ the author and perfector of our faith.  Do we have a healthy and meaningful relationship with Christ, as Saviour, as friend, as Lord and King?

Are we filled with the Holy Spirit that empowers us to fully be who we are in Him, using the gifts that are available to us, fulfilling our purpose as a Child of the King, with all the access and priveledge that is imparted to us.

Are we fufilling the Prophetic destiny tha is on us each as individuals, fulfilling the call upon our lives, to be catalysts fo cleansing, instigators for change and contacts for power.

For these things it matters what we are feeding on, with our eyes - what do we spend time looking at, with our ears - what do we choose to spend our time listening too, our mouths - what is it we spend our time feeding on, do we have a healthy consumption or not.

Where are we spending our time, what do we give priority - does the time we spend reflect the importance to us of what we are doing.

Quite a lot of what we do we do for all the wrong reasons - we do it to please others, we do it as a reaction to perception, we do it because we feel we ought to, often if we have a clear perspective on things we would spend time doing very different things when we do them with prayer and preparation.

Why not take stock and see what needs to be reprioritised for you?  Give Jesus His rightful place.
