Week 21 (20/05/2007) - Spies sent in

As the spies were sent into the promised land, most came back with the report of the size of the giants, the comparison of their size to the giants.  It was all looking at the problems, looking at the immediate detail of why and how!

Numbers 13:31-32 - But the men who had been with him said, 'We cannot attack these people. They are stronger than we are. All the people we saw there were of enormous size.'

However two of the spies came back with the promise of the land, the recognition that this ws the land that had been promised, "flowing with milk and honey."

Numbers 13:27-28 - This was the report they gave: 'We made our way into the country where you sent us. It does indeed flow with milk and honey. At the same time, its inhabitants are a powerful people, the towns are big and fortified,

Did the spies see different things, did they travel to different countries, no they were both in the same place, the difference was the two spies saw with the eyes of faith, they went with the prophetic promise in their hearts.

As we continue to lay hold of prophetic promise in Christ, as individuals, as a household, as a Church, do we see the giants or the signs of the prophetic promise, lets look with eyes of faith, and see the promise.
