Week 7 (12/02/07) - We all have gifts, large or small, skill or talent, public or private, who are they available for, who do they serve, how are they used?

If someone gave you a present for Christmas and you did nothing with it, what use would that be, if you unwrapped it so you were aware of what it was to then not use it would not be beneficial, to unwrap it, take it out of its box try it out, know you had the skill to use it would but then put it back in its box only to be used on special occassions would be most frustating.

At Presbytery last year ( a requested gathering of Prophets to speak in to the life of the Church) we were told that people would bring thier gifts and offer them!

I wonder whether you have a gift sitting on the self, I wonder whether you have a God given gift you need to unpack, maybe you have a tried and tested gift that is sitting unused?

I want to encourage you our Community, our Church, our friends need your gift at work and functioning.  Pray ask God and see what He is saying, stirring up within you to serve with all that you have?
