Daily miracles

Finding the miraculous in our daily lives often begins not with spectacle, but with obedience. Scripture consistently points us to a God who works through ordinary faithfulness to reveal extraordinary grace. In Hebrews 5:8, we are reminded that Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. That single verse reframes our understanding of miracles. They are not always sudden rescues, but are frequently forged through perseverance, trust, and costly faith. The miracle is not only the outcome, but the transformation that happens within us as we walk the path God sets before us.

We live in a culture that craves instant results, yet the Kingdom often moves at the pace of formation. Noah did not wake up one morning to find an ark complete in his garden. In Genesis 6:8-16, we read that Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord, then spent years building something that had never been seen before, in obedience to a word that seemed wildly impractical. The miraculous was not merely that humanity was preserved, but that one man trusted God enough to keep building when there was no rain, no applause, and no reassurance beyond the promise of God Himself. Many of our own miracles are being shaped quietly while we keep showing up, day after day.

The disciples struggled with this, too. In Mark 16:14-18, Jesus rebukes them for their unbelief, then commissions them to heal the sick and proclaim the gospel with power. The same followers who doubted were entrusted with signs and wonders. This tells us something vital. God does not wait for perfect faith before releasing miraculous purpose. He invites willing hearts to step forward, and faith grows in motion. Often, the miracle we are seeking is found on the other side of obedience rather than certainty.

God’s plans for us are not random or reactionary. In Jeremiah 29:11-13, the Lord speaks hope to a people in exile, promising a future anchored in His intentions. Yet the promise is coupled with a call to seek Him with all our heart. The miraculous future is connected to present pursuit. When we search for God in the ordinary rhythms of prayer, work, and service, we discover that His presence is already at work, reshaping our circumstances and our character.

Peace is another miracle we often overlook. Jesus speaks directly to our anxious hearts in John 14:27 when He offers His peace, not as the world gives, but as a lasting gift. This peace does not deny trouble, but it transcends it. To experience calm in the midst of pressure, uncertainty, or loss is nothing short of miraculous. It is evidence that God is active within us, guarding our hearts when circumstances remain unresolved.

The apostle Paul captures this lived miracle of strength in Philippians 4:13. His declaration that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him was written from confinement, not comfort. The miracle was not escape from hardship, but endurance with purpose. Many believers are waiting for doors to open, when God is already empowering them to stand firm where they are.

Finding the miraculous in daily life means learning to recognise God’s fingerprints in small obediences, quiet perseverance, unexpected peace, and sustained strength. It is choosing to trust God when the outcome is unclear, to seek Him when answers feel distant, and to keep walking when progress seems slow. Over time, we discover that the miracle was never just something God did for us, but something He was doing in us. As we learn obedience, like Christ, we find that heaven often breaks into earth in the most ordinary of moments.

This perspective reshapes our expectations and deepens our gratitude. When we slow down enough to notice, everyday life becomes holy ground. Conversations, setbacks, routines, and responsibilities all become places where God meets us. The miraculous then becomes less about interruption and more about revelation, eyes opened to a faithful God who is already present, already working, and always inviting us to trust Him more fully today in love, humility, and quiet daily hope.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service being on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second Sunday of each month. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.
