God has a divine purpose for each of us, intricately woven into His perfect plan. Stepping into that purpose requires trust, obedience, and a heart open to His leading. As Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) reminds us, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This promise reassures us that God's purpose is always for our good, even when the path seems uncertain. To walk in God's purpose, we must first surrender our own plans and desires, trusting that His way is higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). It means seeking Him in prayer, listening for His voice, and being willing to step out in faith. Like Abraham, who left his homeland without knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8), we too must embrace the journey with courage, believing that God will guide our steps. Stepping into God’s purpose is not always easy, but it is always rewarding. As we align our lives with His will, we discover a more profound sense of fulfilment, knowing we are part of something eternal. So, take that step today. Trust Him, and walk boldly into the purpose He has prepared for you.	We love to share with others, there is something in us that is itching to make a difference, to be a blessing, to show care. There is nothing more satisfying than having a conversation that feels like you are saying the right thing, in the right place at the right time. We are often willing to talk, share with others and tell our story, but often the challenge is how, where and when to start that conversation. God is not looking for our ability but our availability and our obedience. Let me encourage each one of us just to be ready to speak, as David wrote in Psalm 81:10, where he said "Open your mouth and God will fill it" So let us choose to be a blessing, decide to share a blessing and choose to proclaim a blessing. So speak life, speak hope and encourage others. I have found since the beginning of the year, by just making myself available for conversation in various different locations, at different times and different places, I know I have spoken, I have shared life, I have been encouraging, some conversations have been quickly profound, others seem to have been rather perfunctory and mundane. But my job is to be available, talk (sow seed), then leave the rest with the father.

As we have sped through the first 2 months of 2025, God has moved quickly amongst students at Royal Holloway and within our student group at church. We have seen the works of the Lord profoundly as he has increased our ability to develop unity within our Christian Union on campus and between local churches. Although it is important for all students to be plugged into a local church, the Christian Union allows students to learn and hear about the good news of Jesus Christ on campus. The increase of students coming to our weekly gatherings has nearly doubled over these past few months, where students from RCF are able to meet with other students who haven’t found a local church yet, or just to gain relationships with people on campus who have a heart for Jesus. On Wednesdays, our student bible studies are reaching full capacity, where we might even have to move spaces as we increase in numbers. As a group, we have grown closely together, sharing a safe space for each other to open up and discuss our faith on deeper levels. The Book of Ruth has been incredibly insightful for us as a group as we have become encouraged by her faithfulness in God during difficult times, seeing how God moves in situations when you lean on him. We are beyond excited about what God has in store for our church and for students; he is doing a new thing.	The Christian Union held an events week on campus, where our students were heavily involved and impacted by the evangelism that occurred, we spoke to students freely about the good news of Jesus Christ, invited them to free events where all students were given the opportunity to ask questions about faith. The turnout was incredible, the students really enjoyed the free food (of course), but most importantly, they interacted with the student-led activities and interactive discussions. The events went so well, we filled the capacity of one room, and began worshipping after a set of secular music was being played, where we really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit flooding the room. After the events week, we had another worship night led by Flow Church in the student union, an opportunity for local church members to pray and worship on our campus. The students came and testified about the success of God's work since events week, one student expressed that “events week changed my life, and brought me back to a committed relationship with Jesus”. We aimed to plant the seeds and allow God to move in his timing, we are still so encouraged by the feedback from that week and can’t wait to plan more events. Last week, the CU spent time together on a weekend trip into West London, as a group we worshipped and studied the word, getting to know each other on a deeper level. It was a time spent reflecting on our mission on campus and how we can improve our close relationship with God as he chose us first. We are a generation that is heavily influenced by social media, where we are all actively promoting events and our purpose as Christians on our own networks. Personally, I have seen the incredible impact this has had on my community. Our students have increased their activity on social media as a main focus to spread the gospel, students on campus can see and interact with this more frequently and consistently as we invite those to the Church and CU.

We all have gifts and talents, most of which we enjoy using. Nothing is more fulfilling than using our gifts and talents for Kingdom purpose; it puts a smile on the Father's face when we are running in our lane, doing what we are gifted and equipped to do. If you have talent that you are willing to share for kingdom purposes, let us know, we will make room where we can. There is so much creative purpose in God's people, after all we are modelled on a creative God, who can do all things. Please feel free to talk with someone on the leadership team.	We have had a number of prophetic words given to us as a Church, to groups in the Church and to individuals within the Church recently. For some of us this may be a gift we have not seen in operation in the Church. It's exciting when God speaks to His people through His ministers and the gifts of the spirit. Scripture would encourage us to measure up the words which have been spoken to us. We would recommend that you at least take these steps with any prophetic word given to you. 1. Write down what has been said. 2. Pray and ask God for confirmation and understanding. 3. See how it aligns with scripture 4. Talk the word through with a seasoned leader. 5. Await the word to be fulfilled.

Planning your Visit

Why not plan a visit to try us out?

Whether this is your first time visiting a church or you’ve attended another church for years, we understand that visiting a new church can be a bit overwhelming. To help make it a bit easier, we’ve done our best to answer some questions you may have, so your first experience is a little less overwhelming.

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from Egham, Virginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Ascot, Camberley, Sunbury, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.

Church - What to expect

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11 am. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X.

The Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham, open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.

Sunday Venue at Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham

Our Sunday service starts at 11.00 and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin each service with lively worship, featuring songs from around the world, followed by inspiring, Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or X, or catch up with the recordings later.

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you.

Doors open at 10:30 for coffee and prayer.
Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has ample parking.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility issues (those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, regardless of age, to join the service. We offer Sunday School, which begins after worship and runs concurrently with the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes, serving children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays. If you want to get to know us better, why not join us for Sunday lunch with some of our members? The first meal is on us (Voucher provided). Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
