Ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run kéde, kìí ṣe ẹ̀ẹ̀kan ṣùgbọ́n ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ìgbà, pé ìgbàgbọ́ tòótọ́ ni a kò bí nípa ìrí—ó jẹ́ bíbí nípasẹ̀ Ẹ̀mí. Ohun tí a bá fi ojú wa rí lè tàn jẹ, ṣùgbọ́n ohun tí Ẹ̀mí fi hàn ń yọrí sí ìyè.

Jesu tikararẹ sọ fun Tọmasi, lẹhin ajinde: “Alabukun-fun li awọn ti kò ri, ti nwọn si gbagbọ́” (Johannu 20:29). Eyi kii ṣe ibawi lasan ti iyemeji bikoṣe ipe si iru iriran ti o jinlẹ—ohun ti Paulu pe ni “oju ọkan-aya” (Efesu 1:18). Oju ti ara ni opin. O wulẹ ni awọn ifarahan. Ṣugbọn igbagbọ n wo awọn ohun gidi ti a ko rii ti o jẹ ayeraye. Àpọ́sítélì Pọ́ọ̀lù sọ pé: “Àwa ń rìn nípa ìgbàgbọ́, kì í ṣe nípa ìríran” ( 2 Kọ́ríńtì 5:7 ). Eyi ni pataki ti igbesi aye Onigbagbọ.

Igbagbọ kii ṣe isansa ti ẹri; o jẹ wiwa igbẹkẹle ninu Ọrọ Ọlọrun. Nigba ti a ba dinku igbagbọ si ohun ti a le rii daju nipa ti ara, a yọ ihinrere kuro ni agbara rẹ. Gbé Ábúráhámù, bàbá ìgbàgbọ́ yẹ̀ wò. Ó gba Ọlọ́run gbọ́ kódà nígbà tí kò bá sí nǹkan kan láti rí—ko sí ọmọ, kò sí ajogún, kò sí ẹ̀rí tó ṣeé fojú rí pé ìlérí Ọlọ́run yóò ṣẹ. Pọ́ọ̀lù kọ̀wé pé, “Lódì sí gbogbo ìrètí, Ábúráhámù ní ìrètí ní ìgbàgbọ́…” (Róòmù 4:18). Èyí kì í ṣe ìfọ́jú, bí kò ṣe ìgboyà—igbẹ́kẹ̀lé ìhùwàsí Ọlọ́run lórí wípé àwọn àyíká ipò.

Jesu Kristi wa sinu aye kii ṣe ki a le rii pẹlu awọn oju ti ara, ṣugbọn lati jẹ mimọ, ni iṣura, ati igbẹkẹle. Ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún àwọn tí wọ́n rí i—tí wọ́n ń wo àwọn iṣẹ́ ìyanu Rẹ̀, tí wọ́n gbọ́ ẹ̀kọ́ Rẹ̀—ṣùgbọ́n wọn kò gbàgbọ́. Àwọn Farisí rí ju ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ lọ, síbẹ̀ ọkàn wọn le. Kí nìdí? Nitori oju nikan ko ni fipamọ. Igbagbo ṣe.

Ọkunrin adayeba n beere awọn ami ati awọn iyanu, nigbagbogbo nduro fun ẹri diẹ sii. Ṣùgbọ́n ọkàn-àyà tí a tún padà yọ̀ ní inú dídùn sí ìtótó Ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí Peteru ti sọ, “Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé ẹ kò rí i, ẹ fẹ́ràn rẹ̀; bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé ẹ kò rí i nísinsin yìí, ẹ gbà á gbọ́…” (1 Peteru 1:8). Eyi ni paradox ti igbagbọ Kristiani: awọn ohun ti o daju julọ ni awọn ti a ko le fi oju wa ri, ṣugbọn a mọ inu jinlẹ nitori Ẹmi jẹri.

Lati gbagbọ laisi riran kii ṣe igbagbọ ti o kere ju - igbagbọ ni o wu Ọlọrun. “Nisinsinyi igbagbọ ni igbẹkẹle ninu ohun ti a nireti ati idaniloju ohun ti a ko rii” (Heberu 11: 1). Eyi kii ṣe fifo sinu okunkun ṣugbọn lilọ siwaju si imọlẹ ti oju agbaye ko le rii.

Igbagbọ n rii nipasẹ kurukuru ti ipo, nipasẹ ibori ti akoko. O wo loke iboji o si ri ajinde. O wo kọja ijiya o si ri ogo. O wo kọja ohun ti a rii ati gbagbọ ninu ileri naa. Eyi ni iru igbagbọ ti o wu Oluwa wa. Kii ṣe iru ti o duro de awọn ami ti o han ṣugbọn iru ti o faramọ awọn idaniloju alaihan.

A gbọ́dọ̀ bi ara wa léèrè—Ṣé a gbẹ́kẹ̀ lé Ọlọ́run nígbà tí a bá lè tọpasẹ̀ ọwọ́ Rẹ̀, àbí a ṣe tán láti gbẹ́kẹ̀ lé e nígbà tí a kò lè ríran rárá? Onísáàmù náà sọ pé, “Ọkàn ì bá ti sọ mi dà nù, bí kò ṣe pé mo ti gbàgbọ́ pé èmi ìbá rí oore Olúwa ní ilẹ̀ alààyè” (Sáàmù 27:13). O gbagbọ ṣaaju ki o to ri.

Eyi ni ipe ti ọmọ-ẹhin: lati gbẹkẹle Oluwa pẹlu gbogbo ọkan wa, ki a ma ṣe gbẹkẹle oye tiwa (Owe 3: 5). Ninu aye ti o gbe oju ga, awọn Kristian ni a pe lati gbe nipasẹ igbagbọ—igbagbọ ti o rii Kristi bi ẹni gidi ju gbogbo ojiji aye ti nkọja lọ. Ati ni ọjọ kan, igbagbọ yii yoo fun oju si oju. Ṣùgbọ́n títí di ìgbà náà, àwa gbàgbọ́, a sì jẹ́ alábùkún fún.

Welcome to Runnymede Christian Fellowship, an Egham Church

welcome

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from EghamVirginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who regularly meet to share life and show God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.

Church - What to expect

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11:00 a.m. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X (Twitter).

The Sunday Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

Church on Sunday at Strodes College, Egham

welcome 2

Our Sunday service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We start each service with lively worship with songs from around the world, followed by inspired Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service being on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second Sunday of each month. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church that is both for those online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube, or X (Twitter), or you can catch up and watch the recordings later.

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and prayer. Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Morning Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has plenty of Parking. Click on the link for directions to RCF.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility problems (for those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, young and old, to join the service. We have Sunday School, which starts after worship and runs during the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes for children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third and fourth Sundays. If you want to get more acquainted, why not join us for a Sunday lunch with some of our members? The meal is on us! Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
