The world needs the Church to be fulfilling its destiny and purpose. It’s easy to talk about love. We sing about it, preach on it, and quote it from Scripture. But real love—the kind that Jesus modelled—was never passive. It rolled up its sleeves, stepped into the mess, and made a difference. Jesus didn’t just say, “I love you.” He touched lepers, wept with the grieving, and washed dusty feet. He loved in action, not just sentiment. And so the challenge is this: Are we, as followers of Christ in today’s world, truly willing to put our love into action? Are we prepared to reach beyond our comfort zones—to listen more, serve sacrificially, forgive quickly, and give generously? In a nation where division, loneliness, and need are growing, the Church must be more than a voice—it must be a presence. Our communities aren’t waiting for another sermon; they’re waiting for a demonstration. Let’s not settle for a love that’s only spoken. Let’s embody a love that’s seen. Whether it’s welcoming the stranger, mentoring the next generation, or standing up for those without a voice, let’s ask ourselves honestly: What does love require of me today? The world doesn’t need more words; it needs a Church that lives love—courageously, consistently, and compassionately. Are we willing?	Starting Monday, 7 July 2025, Runnymede Christian Fellowship (RCF) is launching RCF Academy, an exciting new programme designed to equip every member for deeper spiritual growth, leadership, and service. Academy sessions will be held weekly at 7:30 p.m., typically on Monday evenings, at their midweek ministry base at Virginia Lodge, Egham. The format will combine theological teaching, practical workshops, and interactive discussion, reflecting RCF’s vision of “worship, discipleship and preaching the Word of God without compromise” and being “God’s Hands and Feet in our community”. Each session will focus on a different pillar essential to Christian maturity and community impact: Biblical foundations – exploring key doctrines and practical theology Spiritual disciplines – developing prayer, worship, and spiritual habits Leadership & mission – empowering members to serve within RCF and beyond Community outreach – equipping participants to live out their faith practically Courses are open to all adults, whether longtime members or new to RCF, with content tailored to varying stages of faith. The interactive format encourages questions, group sharing, and application. RCF Academy embodies the church’s commitment to raising up fully equipped disciples of Jesus who know their God-given gifts, understand how to steward them, and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to make a difference in their families, neighbourhoods, and workplaces. Members are encouraged to register via the RCF website’s Academy page or speak with a leader after Sunday services. Magna Carta Day - Dave Food	Love Egham - Mission with St John's - Dave Food
On Saturday, 14 June 2025, Runnymede Christian Fellowship (RCF) joined Egham’s High Street celebrations marking the 810th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta. The town centre was transformed into a vibrant hub where RCF offered acts of community, hope, and purposeful engagement. RCF members distributed small packets of seeds, encouraging recipients to “sow seeds of hope, purpose and life”. We also gave away pastries to strengthen the body, and words and conversations to nourish the soul. These thoughtful, interactive gifts fostered ongoing community connection and symbolised the sowing of new beginnings. RCF members mingled warmly with visitors, engaging in friendly conversations, offering prayer, and sharing their message of faith and unity. Feedback was positive: locals appreciated the fellowship’s gentle, encouraging presence amid the historical celebrations. The blend of historical commemoration and community outreach hit just the right note, leaving us possibly looking forward to next year’s event.	Love Egham, organised by St Johns and Runnymede Christian Fellowship, took place in June in Egham. The event aimed to foster community spirit through a mix of free public activities, outreach, and goodwill initiatives, including prayer walks, fellowship gatherings, and creative workshops. Attendance surpassed expectations, drawing dozens of local residents and students from nearby Royal Holloway. A guided prayer walk and a pop-up Station blessing offered spaces for conversation. Families appreciated the craft sessions and refreshments, with many expressing gratitude for the welcoming atmosphere. Feedback posted afterwards noted how standout moments—especially the “Seeing God as a Perfect Father” Bible study—felt deeply personal and impactful. There was an uplifting sense of unity. Several attendees remarked that genuine connections were formed between neighbours who had previously never met. Church leaders described the event as “a simple but meaningful reminder of community love in Egham.” Planned follow-ups include weekly prayer groups and small community meet‑ups, indicating momentum will be sustained. Overall, Love Egham’s blend of faith, community, and creativity was well‑received and achieved its mission of “bringing people together in genuine love and service.” With positive local buzz and encouraging feedback, we will explore a possible repeat next year.

During my meet-up with Cerys, we had an impromptu Bible study, and Isaiah 43:19 was heavy on our hearts. The verse says, "Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”. We then began to pray for the RCF students and the church as a whole. Whilst we prayed, God revealed a very clear image/ scene of the church to me. It looked like people of all ages and ethnicities were rushing through the double doors at church. The space looked like it was not big enough to contain the amount of people that rushed in. It was a beautiful sight, and I pray that God will continue to move mightily at RCF and He will prepare us all for this new season. This is an exciting picture of what God wants us to be involved in.	He shaped my soul with purpose deep, Not just to dream, or merely sleep; But stand in truth, reflect His light, And walk by faith, not just by sight. I’m called to love when others fall, To lift the weak, to heed His call; In every act, His grace to show, So seeds of hope and peace may grow. Not just a voice, but hands and feet, To serve the lost, the poor, the meek; A vessel formed for heaven’s plan, To live like Christ, where life began. He needs me here, not grand, but true To do the work He's set to do; For only I can fill this place, Designed by Him, upheld by grace.

Whether this is your first time visiting a church or you’ve attended another church for years, we understand that visiting a new church can be a bit overwhelming. To help make it a bit easier, we’ve done our best to answer some questions you may have, so your first experience is a little less overwhelming.

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from Egham, Virginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Ascot, Camberley, Sunbury, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.

Church - What to expect

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11 am. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X.

The Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham, open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.

Sunday Venue at Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham

Our Sunday service starts at 11.00 and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin each service with lively worship, featuring songs from around the world, followed by inspiring, Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or X, or catch up with the recordings later.

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you.

Doors open at 10:30 for coffee and prayer.
Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has ample parking.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility issues (those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, regardless of age, to join the service. We offer Sunday School, which begins after worship and runs concurrently with the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes, serving children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays. If you want to get to know us better, why not join us for Sunday lunch with some of our members? The first meal is on us (Voucher provided). Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
