Oneanother RCF June Church Picnic
Living the One Another Life - Dave Food RCF Academy - Started - Dave Food
One of the most powerful themes woven throughout the New Testament is the call to live in community through the “one another” scriptures. These are not just good suggestions—they are the essence of Christian life and witness.

“Love one another” (John 13:34) was one of Jesus’ final commands to His disciples. This kind of love is not just sentimental—it’s sacrificial, intentional, and practical. It’s the same love that Christ showed us, and we are called to reflect it daily.

But it doesn’t stop there. Scripture calls us to “encourage one another” (1 Thessalonians 5:11), “carry one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2), “forgive one another” (Ephesians 4:32), and even to “spur one another on towards love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24). These commands challenge us to be present, accountable, and engaged with one another—not just on Sundays, but throughout the week.

Church is not a building; it’s a body. And like any healthy body, it functions best when each part actively supports the other. In a world that often promotes individualism and isolation, the “one another” life is a radical, counter-cultural expression of God’s kingdom.

Let’s ask ourselves: Who can I encourage this week? Where can I offer forgiveness, support, or a listening ear? Living the “one another” life doesn’t require grand gestures—it begins with simple obedience and heartfelt care.

Together, we reveal Christ to the world—one act of love at a time.

The phrase "one another" occurs one hundred times in the bible, so it's a core focus for us as Christ's community to be gracious, considerate and patient. Church Community is one of the places where the fruit of the Spirit is most visible and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are most vital.

In July, we have had many opportunities to help the lost, reach the brokenhearted, serve the poor and love the hurting. This costs us in time, in energy, in finance, in resources. This last month, we have really poured out, thank you, Church.
Monday, 7 July 2025, Runnymede Christian Fellowship (RCF) launched RCF Academy, an exciting new programme designed to equip every member for deeper spiritual growth, leadership, and service.

Academy sessions will be held monthly at 7:30 p.m., typically on Monday evenings, at their midweek ministry base at Virginia Lodge, Egham. The format combines theological teaching, practical workshops, and interactive discussion, reflecting RCF’s vision of “worship, discipleship and preaching the Word of God without compromise” and being “God’s Hands and Feet in our community”.

Session 2 - Monday 11th August 7:30 at Virginia Lodge
Sharing the gospel with boldness and compassion

Each session will focus on a different pillar essential to Christian maturity and community impact:

Biblical foundations – exploring key doctrines and practical theology
Spiritual disciplines – developing prayer, worship, and spiritual habits
Leadership & mission – empowering members to serve within RCF and beyond
Community outreach – equipping participants to live out their faith practically

Courses are open to all adults, whether longtime members or new to RCF, with content tailored to varying stages of faith. The interactive format encourages questions, group sharing, and application.

RCF Academy embodies the church’s commitment to raising up fully equipped disciples of Jesus who know their God-given gifts, understand how to steward them, and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to make a difference in their families, neighbourhoods, and workplaces.

Members are encouraged to register via the RCF website’s Academy page or speak with a leader after Sunday services. This promises to be an inspiring season of learning, unity, and transformation for the whole fellowship. More details www.e-runnymede.co.uk/academy

The Heart of Giving: Tithing as Worship - Dave Food  Website and App - Dave Food
Giving is not just about finance – it’s about the heart. Tithing and generosity are spiritual disciplines that draw us closer to God, shaping our trust and deepening our walk with Him. In Malachi 3:10, the Lord says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse... Test me in this... and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven.” Tithing is the only area in Scripture where God invites us to “test” Him, not from a place of doubt, but of faith.

As a fellowship, we give not out of obligation but out of gratitude. Everything we have is from God (James 1:17), and our giving becomes an act of worship and partnership in His kingdom work. The early church in Acts 2:44-45 shared everything they had, demonstrating a lifestyle of radical generosity. This wasn’t just financial – it was time, care, and practical support.

In our modern world, tithing may feel counter-cultural, yet it reorients our priorities. When we give the “first fruits” of our income (Proverbs 3:9), we declare that God is our source, not our salary. It’s a statement of trust in uncertain times.

Let’s ask ourselves: Are we giving cheerfully? Faithfully? Generously? As Jesus said in Matthew 6:21, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” May our hearts – and our giving – reflect His grace.

Together, let’s sow into God’s purposes with joy and expectancy.

God is a big God. He is at work in us. If anything ever seems overwhelming, take it to Him, get His perspective, as "he owns the cattle on a thousand hills" - Psalm 50:10.
In today’s world, the church’s reach goes beyond four walls—it extends into the digital space. At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we believe our website is more than a noticeboard; it’s a tool for connection, outreach, and discipleship.

Just as Paul used letters to reach and encourage the early churches, today we use technology to share the same good news. Romans 10:14 asks, “How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” Our website helps ensure people can find, hear, and respond to the message of Jesus.

We want our digital presence to reflect who we are—a welcoming, Spirit-led community committed to living out God’s love. That means making our website clear, current, and engaging. From sermon recordings and upcoming events to resources for prayer and small groups, we aim to create a space where members can grow and visitors feel at home.

Psalm 96:3 says, “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all peoples.” Online platforms allow us to do just that—locally and globally. Our strategy is not just about information, but invitation: inviting people to encounter Jesus, connect with community, and discover purpose.

We encourage you to explore the website, share it with friends, and pray for its ongoing development. Let’s be intentional about using every means available to proclaim Christ—and may our digital front door always lead to a deeper walk with Him.

A dream of many wildfires2025
A dream shared by Salma Wildfires 2025 - with a video from Cerys
At the beginning of 2024, God gave me a dream that has stayed with me ever since. In that dream, I saw us move into a new and larger place, a place overflowing with the sound of worship. It was powerful, beautiful, and full of life. Just a few days later, I had another dream: a full Sunday School room, buzzing with children and filled with joy. What a wonderful experience, even in a dream!

But there was also something significant that stood out. In the dream, I noticed a curtain—something symbolic that seemed to divide the newcomers from the long-standing members of the church. It reminded me that while growth is exciting, unity is essential. And I believe God was showing us not just a vision of expansion, but also a call to deeper connection and love within the body of Christ.

Fast forward to October 2024, and we did indeed move into a bigger place, just as the Lord had revealed. I praise God for His faithfulness and for preparing our hearts in advance. Though the enemy may try to sow division or fear, we know this truth: we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Through Him, we overcome, we unite, and we grow together.

Let us be united and be His mighty vessels to fulfil the plans He has for us and for our church.

Note from Dave: These are exciting times. God is stirring His Church, speaking to us both as individuals and corporately. Please join us in all the good things He is doing. Pick one other thing and join us on this journey. We are outreaching at least once a month in Egham, join us.
There’s something extraordinary that happens when the Church gathers, not just in buildings, but in open fields, under canvas, in worship, prayer, and community. That’s what Wildfires 2025 was all about. And we’re thrilled to be looking ahead to Wildfires 2026!

Wildfires isn’t just another event—it’s a space to encounter God afresh, to be equipped for mission, and to grow together as a family. Whether you’re young or old, new to faith or a seasoned disciple, there’s room for you. The atmosphere is expectant, the teaching is rich, and the Spirit moves powerfully.

One of my favourite things about Wildfires is seeing generations gather to seek God with wholehearted passion. Joel 2:28 promises, “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy...”—and we see this come to life around every campfire, every worship tent, every prayer walk.

For us at Runnymede Christian Fellowship, Wildfires was a chance to reset, to spend time in God’s presence, hear His voice, and return home with renewed vision and boldness. It’s a place of encounter, but also of sending. All who went this year enjoyed it; let's get 2026 in our diaries.

We’ll be sharing more details in the coming months, but for now, save the dates, start praying, and consider who you might invite. Let’s believe for a year of breakthrough for our lives, our church, and our nation.

Cerys was so excited about everything that happened this year at Wildfires that she shared a video.
