Holy Spirit at Work - Dave Food |
At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we are continually reminded that the Holy Spirit is at work in our midst, shaping us into a people who love God and serve one another. His presence is not confined to moments of worship but flows through every aspect of our lives together. In times of prayer, we sense His gentle prompting, guiding us into deeper intimacy with Christ and reminding us that we are never alone. The Spirit strengthens us when we feel weak, comforts us in our trials, and equips us with courage to share the hope we have in Jesus.
We see the Spirit at work in the unity of our fellowship, which we are ardent to maintain, drawing together people of different backgrounds and experiences into one body, showing grace and love, as our differences produce heat through the friction of change, and change is most certainly happening. He inspires us to extend hospitality, to care for the vulnerable, and to stand alongside one another in faith. Spiritual gifts are being stirred among us: words of encouragement, acts of service, teaching, and prayer ministries that bless and build up the whole church.
The Holy Spirit also leads us outward, opening our eyes to the needs of our community. Through His prompting, we are discovering creative ways to reach Egham, Runnymede and beyond with the love of Christ, whether through acts of kindness, conversations about faith, or ministries that meet practical needs.
Most of all, the Spirit keeps us centred on Jesus, glorifying Him in all we do. His work among us is evidence of God’s promise that He will never leave nor forsake His people.

The new developments in the website and the App at Runnymede Christian Fellowship are enabling us to reach further, with greater influence and with a clearer voice in our community and beyond. In a world where people often turn first to digital platforms for information, encouragement, or connection, our church must be both visible and accessible online. These tools are not simply technical upgrades; they are part of our mission to share the love of Jesus in relevant and practical ways.
The refreshed website now provides a welcoming front door to the fellowship (no more stock images on the main pages, thanks to the creative team), offering clear information about who we are, what we believe, and how people can get involved. It presents our Sunday services, ministries, and community activities in a way that is easy to navigate and inviting for both newcomers and long-standing members. Sermons and resources are available on demand, allowing the Word of God to be shared beyond the walls of our church building and where we meet. Testimonies, newsletters, blogs and updates give a living picture of our fellowship in action, helping to build faith and foster connection.
Alongside this, the new App has become a powerful tool for communication and discipleship. It enables members to receive timely updates, access resources, and stay connected throughout the week. Push notifications, event reminders, and direct links facilitate prayer requests or pastoral support, ensuring that our fellowship is more closely knit, even when we are busy and away, working across the nation, and sometimes abroad. As a blended Church, this matters because we are growing not just on Sundays, but also through our online activities and attendance.
Together, the website and the App give us a clearer voice. They enable us to communicate the gospel of Christ with consistency, relevance, and authenticity, demonstrating the Kingdom's impact in the digital space where many people spend their time. By embracing these developments, we are extending the reach of the gospel and equipping our fellowship to engage with the world around us in new and meaningful ways.

I came across RCF by chance while walking along the high street in Egham. I had been searching for a church, and when I saw the banner, I immediately checked the website. To my surprise, there was a prayer meeting that very Friday evening, so I decided to attend. I met some members that night and felt instantly welcomed!
On Sunday, I arrived an hour early because I thought the service began at 10 am instead of 11 am. Truthfully, I was just too eager to be in church. After longing for a spiritual community, it was exciting to find one finally. Since then, I’ve joined in most of the activities, and it already feels like home.
What impressed me most was the genuine care shown by the members. A few reached out personally when I missed a prayer meeting and a Sunday service, even though I was still new. That small gesture spoke volumes—it’s what being part of Christ’s family is all about.
I believe the Holy Spirit led me to RCF, and I look forward with faith and expectation to what Jesus has in store!

We are excited to see how God is opening new doors of opportunity for us to engage with our community and beyond. Over recent months, we have been working to make a wide range of external events more visible and accessible through our notices and the church calendar. This is enabling us to cover a wider range of interests, equip more people, get more of the Church engaged, connect more effectively, extend invitations clearly, and encourage greater participation across the fellowship.
The new approach in our notices means that everyone can quickly see what is happening each week, not only within the church but also in wider Christian and community settings. From conferences and training days to Christian events, prayer gatherings, and outreach opportunities, we are highlighting events that will inspire faith and strengthen discipleship. By sharing these regularly, we are equipping the Church to step into moments that can bring encouragement, fresh vision, and new friendships.
The online calendar has become an especially valuable tool. Accessible through both the website and the App, it provides a simple, central place where all upcoming events are listed. Members can now see at a glance what is taking place, plan ahead, and even share details with friends and family. This is helping us not only to stay informed but also to be intentional in supporting one another’s involvement. Please make sure you watch the notices, book your places early, as they are likely to be full close to the event.
Through these opportunities, we are seeing RCF become more outward-looking, with increasing opportunities pointing people to activities that nurture growth and service. The heart behind it all is simple: to make it easier for us, as a fellowship, to join in with what God is already doing in our community, our region, and the wider body of Christ, such as Lifelinks International, Five Stones Impact and the Assemblies of God. We believe these new ways of sharing will help us step further into our calling, with greater unity and impact.

Half-year report on finances 2025 - The finance team |
As we reach the halfway point of 2025, we want to take a moment to share an update on the church finances. From January to the end of June, we have seen God’s faithfulness at work in many ways. Your generosity has enabled us to sustain our ministries, support outreach, care for those in need, and continue investing in the mission of Runnymede Christian Fellowship.
At the same time, we recognise that the need is always greater than what we currently have in the storehouse. Our God is a big God, and He calls us to trust Him to provide as we step forward in faith to fulfil our calling as a church. Jesus reminded us, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Our giving is not only practical—it reflects our love for God, our commitment to His Kingdom, and our desire to see lives transformed.
We encourage all who are part of RCF to consider their giving prayerfully. Scripture speaks often of bringing the firstfruits to the Lord, and the principle of tithing remains a powerful way to place Him first in our lives. When we release back to God a portion of what He has entrusted to us, we create space for Him to multiply it for His purposes.
Thank you for every gift, large or small, that has been sown into this fellowship. Together, as generous hearts and willing hands, we can believe for greater things. Let us continue to give in faith, trusting that God will meet every need and use RCF to shine brightly for His Kingdom.

Pastoral Care and support - The Pastoral Team |
Our care for one another at Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a vital expression of our call to love one another as Christ has loved us. It is not confined to the ministry of a few but flows through the whole fellowship, as we seek to embody generous hearts and willing hands. We recognise that every person carries both joys and burdens, and that the church is called to be a place of encouragement, healing, and hope.
Our pastoral care is rooted in Jesus’ command: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34). This love moves us to listen, to pray, and to walk alongside those in times of need. In the last 3 months, particularly, we have had many opportunities to do this, some seen and visible, but many not. Whether through visiting the sick and frail, offering practical support to individuals and families, or providing a listening ear in seasons of difficulty, we see care as a shared responsibility that reflects Christ’s compassion. As we grow as a Church, we will be growing our team of people to disciple new believers, teach others and counsel those in challenging circumstances.
We also draw inspiration from Paul’s exhortation: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). In practical ways, this means meals are prepared for those recovering from illness, lifts are given to hospital appointments, and encouragement is offered to the lonely or housebound. We believe that small acts of kindness, motivated by the Spirit, are powerful testimonies of God’s love.
Through midweek groups, pastoral visits, and a readiness to respond to unexpected needs, our fellowship is learning to be the hands and feet of Jesus. By God’s grace, pastoral care at RCF is more than a programme—it is the living out of our faith in community. We continue to trust that as we sow in love, the Spirit will use our care to bring comfort, strength, and renewal to those around us.
