What are we getting ready for? - Dave Food

As we look ahead to 2026, it’s clear that God is preparing us—not just for another year on the calendar, but for a season of renewal, purpose, and community transformation. At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we believe preparation is never passive; it’s an act of faith. Just as the farmer readies the soil before the harvest, we are being called to ready our hearts, our homes, and our fellowship for what’s to come.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen challenges and change on every level—social, economic, and spiritual. Yet, in the midst of uncertainty, God has been shaping us, refining our faith and reminding us of our mission: to know Christ and make Him known. 2026 is not just another date—it’s an opportunity to live out that calling in deeper ways.

We’re getting ready for growth—spiritual growth as individuals and collective growth as a church family. We’re preparing for greater engagement with our community, exploring fresh ways to serve, support, and share the hope of Jesus in Runnymede and beyond. And we’re readying ourselves for revival—not through noise or spectacle, but through quiet faithfulness, prayer, and love in action.

This coming year, we’ll be focusing on building stronger connections, developing new ministries, and encouraging every member to use their gifts in God’s service. Together, we will step forward in unity and expectation, knowing that He who began a good work in us will carry it through to completion.

So, as we prepare for 2026, let’s lift our eyes with anticipation. The best is yet to come—and God is already at work preparing the way.

What miracle are you asking God for? - Dave Food

Every one of us faces moments when human effort reaches its limit—when wisdom, skill, or strength simply aren’t enough. It’s in those moments that faith steps forward and invites the miraculous. The question is not whether God still performs miracles, but whether we are asking Him for one?

Miracles are not just dramatic displays of divine power; they are signs of God’s love and presence breaking into our ordinary world. Whether it’s healing in a body, restoration in a relationship, provision in a season of lack, or breakthrough in a long-awaited promise—God still delights to show Himself strong on behalf of those who trust Him.

In Scripture, the people who saw miracles were those who dared to ask, to believe, and to act in obedience. The woman who reached out to touch Jesus’ cloak, the centurion who trusted in His word, the friends who lowered a man through a roof—all believed that one encounter could change everything.

At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we are a community of expectation. Let’s not limit what God can do by what we have already seen. Instead, let’s lift our eyes, stir our faith, and boldly ask: “Lord, what miracle are You inviting me to believe You for?”

Because when faith meets the power of God, heaven touches earth—and lives are transformed forever.

The Power of Prayer and Intercession - Dave Food

Prayer is not merely a spiritual discipline; it is a lifeline between heaven and earth. Through prayer, we enter into partnership with God, aligning our hearts with His purposes and allowing His power to move through our lives and circumstances. Intercession—standing in the gap for others—is one of the most profound expressions of love and faith we can offer.

In Scripture, we see again and again how intercession changes things. Abraham prayed for Sodom, Moses pleaded for Israel, and Jesus Himself intercedes for us even now. These are not distant stories—they are examples of what happens when God’s people stand in faith and refuse to give up. Prayer is never wasted; it sows seeds in the unseen, preparing the way for God’s will to be revealed.

At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we are called to be a praying people—lifting up one another, our community, and our nation. When we pray together, unity is strengthened, hope is renewed, and spiritual breakthrough begins to take shape.

Intercession is not about eloquent words but surrendered hearts. It’s choosing to believe that God still moves mountains, heals wounds, and restores what is broken. As we cultivate a rhythm of prayer, both privately and corporately, we will see the transforming power of God flow—changing lives, situations, and even destinies.

Our monthly rhythm of prayer begins with a day of prayer and fasting on the first Tuesday. We pray every Friday at 8 pm at Virginia Lodge and on Zoom. We pray every Sunday at 10:30 in the classroom. You are welcome to join any of these events. We also make time for prayer in every meeting.

Let the word dwell in you richly - Dave Food

Paul’s words in Colossians 3:16 urge us: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.” It’s not just an encouragement to read Scripture, but an invitation to let God’s Word take up residence deep within us—to shape our thinking, renew our hearts, and guide our actions. When the Word dwells richly, it doesn’t sit quietly in a corner of our minds; it fills every space, influencing how we speak, serve, and see the world.

At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we believe that true transformation begins when God’s truth becomes more than information—it becomes revelation. As we meditate on His Word daily, it becomes the foundation for wise decisions, the comfort in trials, and the compass that keeps us aligned with His will.

That is why, most days, everyone in our WhatsApp community gets a scripture passage and something to meditate on. (If you are not getting this please let Dave know.)

When Scripture lives richly in us, it overflows into encouragement for others. Our conversations become seasoned with grace, our prayers deepen, and our worship grows more authentic. The Word changes not only us but the atmosphere around us.

Let’s be intentional this season about soaking in Scripture—individually and together. Open your Bible, listen for His voice, and let the Spirit bring it to life within you. Because when God’s Word truly dwells in us, it doesn’t just make a difference—it makes all the difference.

Using your talents for God's Glory - Dave Food

God has uniquely gifted each of us. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of the talents—not as a story about money, but about stewardship. The Master entrusts His servants with resources, expecting them to invest wisely. Likewise, God has entrusted each of us with abilities, experiences, and opportunities to serve His kingdom.

Our talents are not given to be buried in fear or hidden in comfort. They are meant to be multiplied through action, faith, and love. Whether your gift is teaching, encouraging, organising, creating, or listening, God calls you to use it faithfully in your family, workplace, and community.

Romans 12 reminds us that we are one body with many parts, each essential. When we offer our talents to God, He weaves them into something far greater than we could imagine—a living testimony of His grace in action.

At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we are a community shaped by service and empowered by the Spirit. Let’s be intentional in discovering, developing, and deploying the gifts God has given us. The world needs the light that only you can bring. Don’t hide your talent—invest it for the glory of God and the growth of His kingdom.

Let grace flow as we grow - Dave Food

Growth is rarely comfortable. Whether in our personal lives, our families, or our church community, seasons of change stretch us in ways we do not always expect. Yet, in those moments, God invites us to allow His grace to flow freely—not as a trickle but as a river that softens hard ground and brings new life.

When the early church in Acts faced rapid growth, tension naturally arose. Different voices, cultures, and expectations collided. But rather than fragmenting, they chose grace—listening to one another, seeking unity, and keeping Jesus at the centre. Grace became the oil that kept the machinery of community moving smoothly.

At Runnymede Christian Fellowship, we are on a journey of growth too. As God stirs new opportunities, ideas, and people among us, there will be moments of friction. But grace calls us to patience, humility, and understanding. It reminds us that love covers over a multitude of faults, and that God’s strength is perfected in our weakness.

Grace doesn’t deny pain—it transforms it. It turns mistakes into lessons, tension into teamwork, and challenge into maturity. As we move forward together, let’s be a people marked not by complaint or comparison, but by compassion and courage. When grace flows freely among us, growth becomes not a struggle but a shared celebration of God’s transforming power.

Planning your Visit

Why not plan a visit to try us out?

Whether this is your first time visiting a church or you’ve attended another church for years, we understand that visiting a new church can be a bit overwhelming. To help make it a bit easier, we’ve done our best to answer some questions you may have, so your first experience is a little less overwhelming.

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from Egham, Virginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Ascot, Camberley, Sunbury, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.

Church - What to expect

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11 am. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X.

The Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham, open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.

Sunday Venue at Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham

Our Sunday service starts at 11.00 and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin each service with lively worship, featuring songs from around the world, followed by inspiring, Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or X, or catch up with the recordings later.

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you.

Doors open at 10:30 for coffee and prayer.
Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has ample parking.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility issues (those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, regardless of age, to join the service. We offer Sunday School, which begins after worship and runs concurrently with the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes, serving children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays. If you want to get to know us better, why not join us for Sunday lunch with some of our members? The first meal is on us (Voucher provided). Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
