Gbígbé Gẹ́gẹ́ Bí Àwọn Ènìyàn Àjíǹde 

Gbígbé gẹ́gẹ́ bí àjíǹde àwọn ènìyàn kìí ṣe èrò ẹ̀kọ́ ìsìn tí a ń ṣe lẹ́ẹ̀kan lọ́dọọdún; ó jẹ́ òtítọ́ pàtàkì nípa bí a ṣe ń ronú, ṣe amọ̀nà, sìn, àti rìn lójoojúmọ́. Àjíǹde Jésù kìí ṣe ẹ̀rí ìyè lẹ́yìn ikú nìkan, ó jẹ́ ìkéde irú ìyè tuntun ṣáájú ikú. Nígbà tí Pọ́ọ̀lù kọ̀wé pé, “Níwọ̀n ìgbà tí a ti jí yín dìde pẹ̀lú Kristi, ẹ gbé ọkàn yín lé àwọn nǹkan tí ó wà lókè” (Kólósè 3:1), kìí ṣe ọ̀rọ̀ àfiwé ṣùgbọ́n ó ń sọ̀rọ̀ ní ìṣe. Àwọn ènìyàn àjíǹde ń gbé láti àárín gbùngbùn mìíràn. Ìbẹ̀rù, àìtó, tàbí ìjákulẹ̀ kò ṣe àgbékalẹ̀ ìdámọ̀ wa, ṣùgbọ́n nípa ìṣẹ́gun Kristi. Ibojì òfo náà tún ohun gbogbo ṣe. Ìkùnà kò sí ní ìparí mọ́, àìlera kò sí ní ìjákulẹ̀ mọ́, òkùnkùn kò sì wà títí láé mọ́.

Láti gbé gẹ́gẹ́ bí àjíǹde àwọn ènìyàn túmọ̀ sí pé a gbé ìrètí lọ sí àwọn ibi tí ó wà lásán. A ń rìn lọ sí àwọn ibi iṣẹ́, ìdílé, àti àwọn agbègbè kìí ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí wọ́n ń gbìyànjú láti yè, ṣùgbọ́n gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn tí a ti dúró sínú ìṣẹ́gun. Pétérù rán wa létí pé “Ó ti fún wa ní ìbí tuntun sínú ìrètí alààyè nípasẹ̀ àjíǹde Jésù Kristi kúrò nínú òkú” (1 Pétérù 1:3). Ìrètí yìí wà láàyè nítorí pé Kristi wà láàyè. Ó ń mí ìrẹ̀wẹ̀sì, ó ń sọ̀rọ̀ sí àìdánilójú, ó sì ń mú wa dúró nígbà tí àwọn ipò bá dàbí ẹni pé a kò lè ṣí. Ìgbésí ayé àjíǹde kì í ṣe ohun tó ń dún tàbí tó ń múni ronú jinlẹ̀ ní ọ̀pọ̀ ìgbà; ó sábà máa ń jẹ́ ìfaradà ìdákẹ́jẹ́ẹ́, ìgbàgbọ́ sùúrù, àti ìfẹ́ tí ó dúró ṣinṣin nígbà tí àwọn ẹlòmíràn bá juwọ́ sílẹ̀.

Àwọn ènìyàn àjíǹde náà ń gbé ìgbésí ayé ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀ ní bí wọ́n ṣe ń dáhùn sí àwọn ẹlòmíràn. Nítorí pé a ti gba ìyè, a di olùfúnni ní ìyè. A máa ń dáríjì ní ìrọ̀rùn, a máa ń fúnni ní ìṣírí ní ìmọ̀ọ́mọ̀, a sì máa ń sìn ín pẹ̀lú ìfẹ́ ọkàn. Pọ́ọ̀lù kọ̀wé pé, “Nítorí náà, a sin wá pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ nípa ìrìbọmi sí ikú kí, gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti jí Kristi dìde kúrò nínú òkú… àwa náà lè gbé ìgbésí ayé tuntun” (Róòmù 6:4). Ìgbésí ayé tuntun yẹn hàn nínú àwọn ìwà tí a yípadà. Ìkorò ń fún oore-ọ̀fẹ́ ní ààyè. Àníyàn ń fún ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé ní ààyè. Ààbò ara-ẹni ń fún ìwà ọ̀làwọ́ ní ààyè. Àjíǹde ń tún àwọn ìmọ̀lára wa ṣe. A bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í ṣàfihàn ìwà Kristi tí a jí dìde nínú ìbáṣepọ̀ ojoojúmọ́.

Ìgboyà tún wà nínú ìgbésí ayé àjíǹde. Àwọn ọmọ ẹ̀yìn ìṣáájú ṣí kúrò ní yàrá tí a ti tì pa sí ẹ̀rí ní gbangba nítorí wọ́n ti pàdé Olúwa tí a jí dìde. Ẹ̀mí kan náà tí ó jí Jésù dìde ń fún àwọn onígbàgbọ́ ní agbára nísinsìnyí. Pọ́ọ̀lù kéde pé, “Mo fẹ́ mọ Kristi—bẹ́ẹ̀ni, láti mọ agbára àjíǹde rẹ̀” (Fílípì 3:10). Agbára yẹn kì í ṣe iṣẹ́ ìyanu lásán, ṣùgbọ́n agbára láti fara dà á, ìgboyà láti sọ òtítọ́, àti ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ láti sin àwọn ẹlòmíràn. Àwọn ènìyàn àjíǹde kì í ṣe aláìbẹ̀rù nítorí pé ìgbésí ayé rọrùn, ṣùgbọ́n nítorí pé Kristi wà láàyè.

Gbígbé gẹ́gẹ́ bí àjíǹde àwọn ènìyàn tún ń yí bí a ṣe ń rí ọjọ́ iwájú padà. A kì í rìn kiri láìní ète tàbí àìnírètí nípa ipò ayé. A ń gbé pẹ̀lú ìrètí ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé. Àjíǹde ni àkọ́so, ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ ìtúnṣe ohun gbogbo tí Ọlọ́run yóò ṣe. Nítorí pé Jésù wà láàyè, a ń náwó sí ohun tí ó ṣe pàtàkì. A ń kọ́ àwùjọ, a ń lépa ìdájọ́ òdodo, a ń pín ìhìnrere, a sì ń nífẹ̀ẹ́ pẹ̀lú ìrúbọ, a mọ̀ pé kò sí ohun tí a ṣe nínú Kristi tí ó jẹ́ òfò. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí Pọ́ọ̀lù ti parí ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀, “Ẹ dúró ṣinṣin. Ẹ má ṣe jẹ́ kí ohunkóhun gbé yín sókè. Ẹ máa fi ara yín fún iṣẹ́ Olúwa nígbà gbogbo, nítorí ẹ mọ̀ pé iṣẹ́ yín nínú Olúwa kì í ṣe asán” (1 Kọ́ríńtì 15:58).

Gẹ́gẹ́ bí Kristẹni, gbígbé gẹ́gẹ́ bí àjíǹde túmọ̀ sí jíjẹ́ ẹni tí a fi ìrètí, ìgbàgbọ́, àti ìfẹ́ sàmì sí. Ó túmọ̀ sí gbígbàdúrà pẹ̀lú ìfojúsùn, sísìn pẹ̀lú àánú, àti kíkí àwọn ẹlòmíràn pẹ̀lú oore-ọ̀fẹ́. Ó túmọ̀ sí gbígbàgbọ́ pé Ọlọ́run ṣì ń mú ìyè wá níbi tí àdánù ti wà, níbi tí ìwúwo ti wà, àti ibi tí àìdánilójú ti wà. Àjíǹde kìí ṣe ohun tí a ń kéde nìkan ni; ó jẹ́ ohun tí a fi hàn. A ń gbé ní ọ̀nà ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀ nítorí pé Kristi ti jíǹde. A ń sìn ní ọ̀nà ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀ nítorí pé Kristi wà láàyè. A ní ìrètí ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀ nítorí pé ibojì náà ṣófo, àti pé Jésù tí a jí dìde ń bá wa rìn síbẹ̀.

Welcome to Runnymede Christian Fellowship, an Egham Church

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from EghamVirginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.
 

Church - What to expect

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11:00 a.m. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X (Twitter).

The Sunday Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.

 Prophetic word for students -

Our Sunday service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin each service with lively worship, featuring songs from around the world, followed by inspiring, Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service being on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second Sunday of each month. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or X (Twitter), or you can catch up and watch the recordings later.
 

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you. 

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and prayer. Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.
 

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Morning Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has ample parking. Click on the link for directions to RCF.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility issues (those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.
 

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, regardless of age, to join the service. We offer Sunday School, which begins after worship and runs concurrently with the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes, serving children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.
 

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays. If you want to get more acquainted, why not join us for a Sunday lunch with some of our members? The first meal is on us (Voucher provided).  Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
