Mo Gbagbọ - Awọn ipilẹ ti o dimu 

Mo gbàgbọ́ pé ohun kan wà tó dúró ṣinṣin nínú àwọn ọ̀rọ̀ náà. Wọn kì í ṣe ohun tó ń tàn yanranyanran. Wọn kì í ṣe tuntun. Ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n gbé ẹrù gbogbo ìran àwọn onígbàgbọ́ tó ti wà níwájú wa, wọ́n sì máa ń fìdí wa múlẹ̀ nígbà tí ilẹ̀ tó wà lábẹ́ ẹsẹ̀ wa bá dà bíi pé kò lágbára tó. Àwọn ìpìlẹ̀ ìgbàgbọ́ wa kì í ṣe àmì kékeré ti ẹ̀sìn Kristẹni. Wọ́n jẹ́ ògiri tó ń ru ẹrù. Bọ́ wọ́n kúrò, gbogbo ilé sì wó lulẹ̀. Di wọ́n mú, o sì lè borí ohunkóhun. Nítorí náà, jẹ́ kí n pè ọ́ sí ìrìn àjò kúkúrú kan nípasẹ̀ àwọn ìpìlẹ̀, kì í ṣe àṣà ẹ̀mí tuntun, bí kò ṣe àwọn ohun ìní tí yóò máa dúró nígbà tí àwọn àṣà bá ti dé àti nígbà tí wọ́n bá ti lọ.

Ìgbàgbọ́ kì í bẹ̀rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú wa. Ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú Rẹ̀. Kí a tó dé ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run, Ó ti wà níbẹ̀, ó wà níbẹ̀, ó ń fetísílẹ̀, ó ń sọ̀rọ̀. Ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ Ìwé Mímọ́ gbé gbogbo ìpele kalẹ̀: Ní ìbẹ̀rẹ̀, Ọlọ́run dá ọ̀run àti ayé (Jẹ́nẹ́sísì 1:1). Ohun gbogbo mìíràn ń ṣàn láti inú gbólóhùn kan ṣoṣo yẹn. Tí Ọlọ́run bá jẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀, nígbà náà ìgbésí ayé rẹ gbé ẹrù. Àwọn ìpinnu rẹ ṣe pàtàkì. Àyànmọ́ rẹ kì í ṣe àìròtẹ́lẹ̀. A.W. Tozer sọ nígbà kan rí pé ohun tó wá sí ọkàn wa nígbà tí a bá ń ronú nípa Ọlọ́run ni ohun tó ṣe pàtàkì jùlọ nípa wa. Ó tọ́. Bí a ṣe ń rí i pé Ọlọ́run ń ṣe àgbékalẹ̀ bí a ṣe ń gbé ìgbésí ayé wa, bí a ṣe ń darí wa, àti bí a ṣe ń nífẹ̀ẹ́ wa.

Gbogbo Ìwé Mímọ́ ni Ọlọ́run mí sí, ó sì wúlò fún kíkọ́ni, ìbáwí, títúnṣe àti kíkọ́ni ní òdodo (2 Tímótì 3:16). Nígbà tí ariwo bá dìde, tí ọ̀nà náà kò sì yéni, onísáàmù rán wa létí pé, Ọ̀rọ̀ Rẹ ni fìtílà fún ẹsẹ̀ mi, ìmọ́lẹ̀ lórí ọ̀nà mi (Sáàmù 119:105). Láìsí fìtílà yìí, ìgbàgbọ́ máa ń yọ̀. Pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, ìgbàgbọ́ máa ń rí ìpìlẹ̀ rẹ̀ nígbà gbogbo.

Ohun kan wà tí ayé òde òní ń tako nípa ìhìnrere, èyí sì ni: a kò lè gbà ara wa là. Gbogbo wa ti ṣẹ̀, wọ́n sì ti kùnà ògo Ọlọ́run (Róòmù 3:23). A kò ṣe ẹsẹ yẹn láti fọ́ ọ. A ṣe é láti dá ọ sílẹ̀. Níwọ̀n ìgbà tí a bá ń ṣe bí ẹni pé a kò lè gbà á. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí C.S. Lewis ti sọ, ẹni tí ó gbéraga máa ń wo ìsàlẹ̀ nígbà gbogbo, o kò sì le rí ohun tí ó wà lókè rẹ nígbà tí o bá ń wo ìsàlẹ̀. Ìgbàgbọ́ bẹ̀rẹ̀ níbi tí ìgbéraga ti parí.

Kristẹni kì í ṣe ìmọ̀ ọgbọ́n orí pẹ̀lú adùn ìsìn. Ó jẹ́ ènìyàn. Jésù fúnra rẹ̀ sọ ọ́: Èmi ni ọ̀nà àti òtítọ́ àti ìyè. Kò sí ẹni tí ó ń wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ Baba àyàfi nípasẹ̀ mi (Johannu 14:6). Ọlọ́run fi ìfẹ́ tirẹ̀ hàn fún wa nínú èyí: nígbà tí àwa ṣì jẹ́ ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀, Kristi kú fún wa (Romu 5:8). John Stott gbà á ní kedere nígbà tí ó sọ pé kí a tó lè rí àgbélébùú gẹ́gẹ́ bí ohun tí a ṣe fún wa, a gbọ́dọ̀ kọ́kọ́ rí i gẹ́gẹ́ bí ohun tí a ṣe. Ìyẹn ni pàṣípààrọ̀ àtọ̀runwá — ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wa fún òdodo Rẹ̀, ikú wa fún ẹ̀mí Rẹ̀, ìtìjú wa fún ìtẹ́wọ́gbà Rẹ̀.

Bí àgbélébùú bá san owó náà, àjíǹde fi ìdí ìṣẹ́gun múlẹ̀. Tí a kò bá tí jí Kristi dìde, ìgbàgbọ́ yín jẹ́ asán (1 Kọ́ríńtì 15:17), ṣùgbọ́n a ti jí i dìde. Ohun gbogbo yípadà nítorí òtítọ́ kan náà yẹn. Ìgbàgbọ́ kì í ṣe ohun tí a ń gbé ró nípa ìsapá lásán. A kò ṣe é fún wa rí. Ẹ̀mí fúnrarẹ̀ ń jẹ́rìí pẹ̀lú ẹ̀mí wa pé àwa jẹ́ ọmọ Ọlọ́run (Róòmù 8:16). Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ kì í ṣe ẹ̀kọ́ láti fi sílẹ̀; Òun ni wíwà ní ojúmọ́ Ọlọ́run nínú wa, tí ó ń pèsè, tí ó ń tù wá nínú, tí ó ń fún wa níṣìírí, tí ó ń fún wa níṣìírí, tí ó ń tú agbára tí a kò mọ̀ pé a ní sílẹ̀.

Ìgbàgbọ́ kì í ṣe ìrántí nìkan. Ó jẹ́ ìfojúsùn. Jésù yìí kan náà yóò padà wá ní ọ̀nà kan náà tí o ti rí i tí ó ń lọ sí ọ̀run (Ìṣe 1:11). Ìlérí yẹn tún ṣe àtúnṣe bí a ṣe ń gbé ìgbésí ayé wa nísinsìnyí. Ó pè wá sí ìfaradà, sí ìṣòtítọ́, sí ìgbọràn. Bonhoeffer sọ ọ́ dáadáa: ìgbàgbọ́ jẹ́ òótọ́ nígbà tí ìgbọràn bá wà, kì í ṣe láìsí i, ìgbàgbọ́ sì ń di ìgbàgbọ́ nínú ìṣe ìgbọràn nìkan.

Ó ń pè ọ́ láti gbẹ́kẹ̀lé lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí i, láti tún gbé síwájú, láti gbé ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ nínú ìṣòtítọ́ Ọlọ́run. Nítorí náà, gbé ìgbésẹ̀. Kọ́kọ́lé lórí ohun tí ó wà pẹ́. Kí o sì máa rìn nìṣó.

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from EghamVirginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11:00 a.m. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X (Twitter).

The Sunday Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.
 

Church on Sunday at Strodes College, Egham


 Prophetic word for students -

Our Sunday service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin each service with lively worship, featuring songs from around the world, followed by inspiring, Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service being on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second Sunday of each month. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or X (Twitter), or you can catch up and watch the recordings later.
 

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you. 

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and prayer. Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 a.m. and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.
 

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Morning Service is now held at Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has ample parking. Click on the link for directions to RCF.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility issues (those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.
 

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, regardless of age, to join the service. We offer Sunday School, which begins after worship and runs concurrently with the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes, serving children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.
 

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays. If you want to get more acquainted, why not join us for a Sunday lunch with some of our members? The first meal is on us (Voucher provided).  Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
