Are we ready for what God is bringing? - Dave Food |
I want to ask you something, and I want you to hold it gently in your heart this week: Are we ready for what God is bringing our way?
I don't ask that lightly. Because I sense in my spirit that God is on the move, He's stirring, He's shifting, He's preparing soil in this fellowship that He plans to plant something beautiful in. And the question isn't whether He's faithful. He always has been. The question is whether we'll lift our heads, open our hands, and say yes.
I've watched this church love loud and serve without limits. I've seen you give when it cost you, pray when it would have been easier to worry, and show up for one another when the world would have walked past. That's not nothing, that's Kingdom, that's Church. I believe what's ahead is even greater, not because we're clever, not because we're strong, but because our God is good and He delights to do more than we can ask or imagine.
So let's get ready. Make peace where peace needs making. Forgive what's been weighing you down. Pray bigger prayers than you're comfortable with. Speak life over your family, your neighbours, your workmates, your street. Don't shrink back from what God has placed in your hands, even if it feels too big, especially if it feels too big. That's usually the sign He's in it.
He's not bringing us into something we can manage on our own. And honestly? That's the gift. He's bringing us somewhere we'll need Him every single step, and there's nowhere better to be than dependent on Him.
So let's go. Together. Expectant. Ready. Hearts wide open. He is faithful. He is good. And the very best is still ahead of us. |

Your pain has a purpose. Rise through it and walk in His promise. You may hurt and struggle, but even in those moments, God is shaping you and He has not forgotten you.
Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the broken hearted”.
When you feel like giving up, remind yourself - you were never created to quit. You are here to rise. God’s promise still stands:
Jeremiah 29:11 - “I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future”.
No matter what you have lost or faced, the fact that you are still here means your story is not over.
John 14:19 – “Because I live, you also will live.”
You may feel pressed on every side, but you are not destroyed. Remember that through Christ, you still have strength and sooner, you will realise that your pain was not wasted. Instead it was refining you, building perseverance and purpose (James 1:3–4). So do not walk away from your calling. God is still working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).
Today, hope may feel distant but God is still near. He is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). What feels like the end may be where restoration begins. He heals the broken-hearted (Psalm 147:3).
You don’t need all the answers. Just take one step toward Him. This is not your time to give up. Stand again - not in your own strength, but in Him.
God is not finished with you yet. Isaiah 40:31 - “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength”

Lifelinks International - Dave Food |
I want to talk to you about our extended family. Not just the family we have around us on a Sunday, but the bigger family God has woven us into — Lifelinks International.
Lifelinks isn't a denomination that tells us what to do. It's a relational family of over 500 prophetic churches across the world, built on the things that actually matter, Jesus, the Word, the Spirit, and held together not by rules but by relationship. And RCF? We're part of that. We belong to a global community that is making an impact.
That means when storms come, we're not on our own. We have brothers and sisters across the nations standing with us. And when victories come, we have people to celebrate with us. Ian and Val Byrd have been with us recently and speaking at the UK Lifelinks Conference; they have shared and spoken into us, praying for us, sharpening us.
We're not just receivers in this family. We have our part to play. RCF is a gatekeeping church on the edge of London, an international fellowship with the nations already in our midst. We remind ourselves of this every Sunday as we put the flags of the Nations we are touching and influencing on the walls at Strodes College. We are positioned. We are equipped. We are ready to be the Antioch Church, he is calling us to be.
So let's lean in. Let's pour out. Let's be a Lifelinks church that doesn't just belong, but blesses.

Love Egham 2026 - walking our town with the power of the gospel - Dave Food |
There is something wonderfully distinctive about Egham. The little high street, the river running quietly past the Runnymede, the students cycling up Egham Hill, the regulars at the cafés, the neighbours we wave to without ever quite knowing their names. And yet Jesus walks these pavements with us. He always has. The Gospel was never meant to stay tucked inside our Sunday gatherings at Runnymede Christian Fellowship. It was meant to spill out, like new wine, into every corner of the town we love.
That is why Love Egham Week 2026 matters. Partnering once again with our friends at St John's Church, we are stepping out together to bless this community in practical, prayerful, persistent ways. Free pastries and coffee at our Station Blessings. Care opportunities for those who feel forgotten. Conversations on the street. Prayer offered gently to anyone who wants it. Small things. Faithful things. Kingdom things.
I love that we are doing this together. One Church, two congregations, one Lord. When believers from different traditions stand shoulder to shoulder in the same town, something heaven-shaped happens. Walls come down. Witness goes up. Egham gets a glimpse of what the family of God actually looks like.
But please hear this. Love Egham Week is not a programme. It is people. It is you stopping to listen to the woman at the bus stop. It is your teenager carrying shopping for an elderly neighbour. It is the prayer you whisper as you pass the school gates. The Gospel travels on the feet of ordinary saints who believe Jesus is good news for everyone.
So let us pray boldly. Let us serve gladly. Let us speak of Jesus warmly and without apology. The harvest in Egham is real, and the Lord of the harvest is already at work.
See you on the streets, Church. He is with us, and that changes everything.

Till the whole World Knows - Cerys Samuel |
My heart is to see students seeing Jesus. For them to hear the sound of worship and feel a shift in the atmosphere on campus. To know that there is a God out there wanting to know them deeper, and keep pursuing them no matter how far away they feel from him.
‘Til the whole world knows: by Philippa Hanna and Israel Houghton is deeply special, this album is a true blessing! To be apart of this is an absolute honour and I am so grateful to be riding on this wave of revival that is happening in the UK.
Lemme tell you a little something: I was at wildfires in July 2025, admiring all the young people worshipping at the late night session around 10:30pm on the Friday night! I witnessed these people dancing for Joy, but even better RUNNING around the stage, time and time again! I couldn't help but watch and smile and thank Jesus for all the lives he was clearly touching at that moment.
I decided to film it, I was so blown away by the phrase ‘quiet revival’, it seemed too small to me, the idea that hundreds of young people running laps around a stage as the band were also jumping for Joy singing “I’m gonna dance like David”. I posted it on my instagram story quoting “Quiet revival you say??” and wanted my friends and family to see what the heck was going on at this festival.
I didn’t think that much of it until I get a text from my auntie Philippa a few weeks later, “Cerys can you come and sing on my album, I need a group of really good young singers can you find some?” ABSOLUTELY! She sent me the demos a week before Big Church Festival and managed to get my close friend Naomi to tag along to both BCF and the album recording, not realising what we had both stepped into. (Naomi has been a friend of mine and worship leader, pioneering on our campus for multiple worship nights, mostly feeling like we are on our own with God just attempting to gather students, but we started to witness an outpouring of the spirit during those evenings and times we spent together in prayer and worship )
I spent time listening to these demos, I had them on in the car so that I could learn these lyrics in a week- I found myself driving to BCF mostly weeping to these words “It was my sin that held you on that tree”- one of the songs to be released soon. Amongst other songs, I felt this deep sense of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and then witnessing thousands of people responding to a few of these songs being first played LIVE, witnessing a crowd of believers crying out to the Lord. It was truly unbelievable.
I got to the recording just full of expectation! I was placed in a room full of zeal, passion and worship for Jesus. Gifted worship leaders and musicians from across the globe rejoicing and all there for one purpose. We saw a glimpse of heaven that day and worship shifted from just singing to the lord but actually pouring out our ‘costly worship’ and devotion to him.
We were in the bathroom as girls do :) and Philippa just said to me, “Cerys I knew you had to be here, Grandma would’ve loved to have been here and your the only family with me today which is so special…. but also you posted a video at wildfires about revival, I sent it to Israel and thats when he wrote ‘Til the whole world knows”, “you helped inspire that song”!!!
We shared an emotional moment, a realisation that our family going through Grief, hurt and pain was slowly being restored by the Lord, that this worship was keeping us going and my choice in devoting my life to Jesus was more divine then I had ever imagined. It’s crazy how God can use our social media, our small conversations and interactions and seeds to grow something so huge for his kingdom.
What is the point of all this? My point is, Jesus is truly life changing. He intends to change us and call us into a deeper calling which will impact his wider kingdom. We believe that worship is a big part of this move of revival. The songs we sing do have an impact, when we cry out to God in worship and try and seek him, things change. I’ve had students come up to me in recent months saying that worship has moved them and has allowed them to see Jesus more than ever! It’s such a blessing to lead young people in worship, its helping others see Jesus, not forcing, not trying to create a perfect sound but to get at Jesus’ feet and invite others to join you.
So I am on a journey, with many others, to see revival on campuses and at university’s. We are seeing this openness in our spaces, for young people to hear the sound of worship and feel welcome to join in and get to know the God that we are singing about. We have prayerfully made the decision to put on a worship evening on the 4th of May as churches and students in and around Egham! It’s going to be a night of testimony on the truth of Jesus, we are joined by Philippa Hanna and Mose brothers to navigate this time of worship, and we are so excited to see what God is going to do on our campus!

Prophetic power at work Dave Food |
There is something stirring in the body of Christ today, beloved, and I want us at Runnymede to pay attention. I sense it, and I believe many of you sense it too. The prophetic power of God is not a museum piece tucked away in the dusty pages of the Old Testament. It is not the exclusive privilege of Elijah on Mount Carmel, Isaiah in the temple, or Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones. It is alive, it is active, and it is at work in the church right now. The question pressing us this week is not whether God is still speaking, but whether we, as a fellowship, are still listening and willing to step out in obedience to what we hear.
Peter declared on the day of Pentecost that the last days had come, when the Spirit would be poured out on all flesh. Sons and daughters would prophesy, young men would see visions, and old men would dream dreams (Acts 2:17). That promise was not for one generation alone. It was not reserved for the apostles, for the early church fathers, or for famous preachers we read about in biographies. It is for every believer who calls upon the name of the Lord, including the mum dropping her children at school in Egham, the student wrestling with exam stress, the retiree quietly praying in their garden, and the young professional commuting into London each morning. The promise is for you.
What is prophetic power? It is the breath of God moving through ordinary lips to speak extraordinary words. It is the courage to say what heaven is saying when earth would rather you stayed silent. It is the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit that turns a chance conversation in a coffee queue into a divine appointment. Paul urges us in 1 Corinthians 14:1 to "follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy." Notice his language carefully. Eagerly desire. This is not a passive gift that drifts unbidden into our laps. We are commanded to pursue it with holy hunger, with expectation, with the kind of childlike faith that believes God still wants to use us.
And yet here is my challenge to us at RCF. How many of us have allowed fear to silence what the Spirit has placed within us? How many words of encouragement have died on our tongues because we worried about looking foolish? How many promptings have we ignored because the moment felt inconvenient? Jeremiah confessed that the word of the Lord became like a fire shut up in his bones, and he could not hold it in (Jeremiah 20:9). Beloved, when was the last time the word of God burned within you that way?
Prophetic power is never about platforms or performance. It is not about microphones and conferences. Jesus Himself, full of the Holy Spirit, came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). The truest prophetic word will always strengthen, encourage and comfort the saints (1 Corinthians 14:3). It builds the bride; it does not bruise her. So if the Lord has given you a word for the woman sitting two rows behind you on Sunday, do not swallow it. If He has placed a burden on your heart for a neighbour, do not bury it. If He has shown you something for us, bring it humbly to the leadership and let it be weighed, as Scripture instructs us in 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21.
So here is the challenge, plainly spoken. This week, set aside time to listen. Turn off the television, put down the phone, and ask the Father what He is saying. Tune your heart to His voice in the quiet places, in your prayer room, on your morning walk, over your kitchen kettle. Then, when He speaks, have the courage to act. Send the text. Make the phone call. Pray for the colleague. Encourage the brother. Step out in faith, even when your knees are trembling, because that is precisely when His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Runnymede Christian Fellowship was not raised up to be a comfortable congregation of polite Sunday attenders. We were called to be a community of Spirit-filled saints who carry the prophetic fire of God into Surrey and beyond. Let us rise up. Let us pursue these gifts. Let us be a church that hears heaven and obeys.
May the prophetic power of God find willing vessels in our fellowship this month, and may we never be the same again.
