Wiwa Ọkàn Ọlọrun 

A ń gbé ní àkókò kan tí ó ń fi ọlá fún àwọn ènìyàn tí ó ń pariwo àti àwọn tí ó wà lójúkan náà. A ń wọn ọjọ́ wa nípa ohun tí a ṣe àṣeyọrí àti ìníyelórí wa nípa ohun tí a ń mú jáde. Lẹ́yìn náà, ní ìdákẹ́jẹ́ẹ́, láìsí àkíyèsí, ọkàn bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í rẹ̀wẹ̀sì. A di ènìyàn tí ó ń ṣiṣẹ́ tí wọ́n ti gbàgbé bí a ṣe ń dákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́, àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n ti pàdánù ọ̀nà ìbáṣepọ̀. Nínú ìkánjú yìí ni ìkésíni àtijọ́ àti onísùúrù kan wá: *wá ojú mi.*

Ìyàtọ̀ kan wà, mo ti wá láti kọ́ ẹ̀kọ́, láàrín wíwá ọwọ́ Ọlọ́run àti wíwá ọkàn Rẹ̀. Ọwọ́ ń fúnni. Ọkàn ń gbà. A ń mú àkọsílẹ̀ wa, àwọn àìní wa, àwọn ẹ̀bẹ̀ wa kíákíá wá fún Ọlọ́run títí láé, Òun, nínú inú rere Rẹ̀, sábà máa ń dáhùn wọn. Ṣùgbọ́n lábẹ́ gbogbo ìbéèrè wa ni ilẹ̀kùn jíjìn wà, àti lẹ́yìn rẹ̀ kì í ṣe Olùpèsè nìkan ni ó dúró ṣùgbọ́n Baba tí ó ń fẹ́ kí a mọ̀ ọ́n. Onísáàmù lóye èyí. "Ìwọ ti wí pé, 'Wá ojú mi.' Ọkàn mi wí fún ọ pé, 'Ojú rẹ, Olúwa, ni mo ń wá'" (Sáàmù 27:8). Ṣàkíyèsí pé wíwá bẹ̀rẹ̀ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run. Òun ni ó kọ́kọ́ sọ̀rọ̀. Òun ni ó kọ́kọ́ sọ̀rọ̀ nígbà gbogbo.

Jékọ́bù rí èyí ní etí bèbè Jábókù, òun nìkan nínú òkùnkùn, pẹ̀lú gbogbo ohun tí ó ní tí ó fi ránṣẹ́ síwájú àti ìbẹ̀rù rẹ̀ nìkan fún àwọn ẹlòmíràn. Níbẹ̀ ni ó ti ń bá àlejò kan tí kì í ṣe àlejò jà títí di òwúrọ̀. “Èmi kì yóò jẹ́ kí o lọ àyàfi tí o bá súre fún mi” (Jẹ́nẹ́sísì 32:26). Mo nífẹ̀ẹ́ pé Jékọ́bù kò ní tú ìdìmú rẹ̀ sílẹ̀. Wíwá ọkàn Ọlọ́run kì í sábà mọ́. Nígbà míìrán, ó máa ń dà bí ìfọkànsìn tí ó dákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́, ó sì dà bí dídúró ní gbogbo òru, kíkọ̀ láti gbà ohunkóhun tí ó kéré sí ìbùkún Rẹ̀, ìsúnmọ́ Rẹ̀, wíwà Rẹ̀. Jékọ́bù rìn lọ pẹ̀lú ìrẹ̀wẹ̀sì àti orúkọ rẹ̀, tí a fi àmì sí títí láé nípasẹ̀ ìpàdé náà. A kò wá Ọlọ́run a sì dúró ṣinṣin.

Ṣùgbọ́n èyí ni ohun tí a sábà máa ń pàdánù. Ọlọ́run tí a ń jà kì í ṣe aláìlọ́ra. A fojú inú wo ara wa tí a ń gbìyànjú sí ọlọ́run kan tí ó jìnnà réré, tí ó ní ìfẹ́ sí ohun kan, nígbà tí gbogbo ẹ̀rí Ìwé Mímọ́ jẹ́ ti Ọlọ́run tí a ń lépa. Olùṣọ́ àgùntàn náà fi mọ́kàndínlọ́gọ́rùn-ún-dínlọ́gọ́rùn-ún sílẹ̀. Bàbá náà sáré lọ sí ojú ọ̀nà kí ọmọ náà tó parí ṣíṣe àtúnyẹ̀wò ẹ̀bẹ̀ rẹ̀. “Nígbà tí àwa ṣì jẹ́ ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀, Kristi kú fún wa” (Róòmù 5:8). A kò wá láti *jẹ́* olùgbọ́. A ń wá Ẹni tí ó kọ́kọ́ wá wa kiri, ẹni tí ó sọ ara rẹ̀ di òfo tí ó sì gbé àwọ̀ ìránṣẹ́, ẹni tí ó lọ sí ibi àgbélébùú láti gba ọkàn àwọn ènìyàn Rẹ̀ padà.

Kí ló dé tí Ó fi pàṣẹ fún wa pé kí a wá A rárá, tí Ó bá ti rí wa? Nítorí wíwá ni a ṣe ń tún ọkàn ṣe. A ń dé pẹ̀lú ìfẹ́ àwọn nǹkan láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run, àti, lọ́ra, nígbàkúgbà nípasẹ̀ àwọn àkókò, a ìbá ti fò tí a bá lè ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, a bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í fẹ́ Ọlọ́run fúnra rẹ̀. Àwọn ẹ̀bùn ń dínkù; Olùfúnni ni ó kún fọ́ọ̀mù náà. Èyí ni ìṣẹ̀dá ìdákẹ́jẹ́ẹ́ tí ó ń ṣẹlẹ̀ ní ibi ìkọ̀kọ̀, kúrò nínú ariwo. “Ẹ ó wá mi, ẹ ó sì rí mi, nígbà tí ẹ bá fi gbogbo ọkàn yín wá mi” (Jeremáyà 29:13). Gbogbo ọkàn. Kìí ṣe ìṣẹ́jú tí ó kù ní alẹ́ tí ó rẹ̀. Kìí ṣe ìdajì àfiyèsí tí a fi fún ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ nǹkan mìíràn. Gbogbo wa, tí a fà mọ́ gbogbo Rẹ̀.

Kí ni èyí rí ní ọ̀sẹ̀ lásán? Ó dàbí ẹni tí ó ń farahàn kí a tó nímọ̀lára rẹ̀. Ó dàbí ṣíṣí Ọ̀rọ̀ Rẹ̀ kìí ṣe fún ìbọn ṣùgbọ́n fún mímọ̀. Ó dà bí ẹni pé ó jókòó ní ìdákẹ́jẹ́ẹ́ tó láti dẹ́kun ìbẹ̀rù ìdákẹ́jẹ́ẹ́ náà, títí ìdákẹ́jẹ́ẹ́ náà yóò fi di ibi tí Baba ti ń sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lú pẹ̀lẹ́pẹ̀lẹ́. Ó dà bí Màríà ní ẹsẹ̀ Jésù, ó yan ohun kan ṣoṣo tí a kò ní gbà lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀ (Lúùkù 10:42), nígbà tí Màtá ń dún láàárín àwọn ìkòkò.

Ọkàn tí ó ń wá Ọlọ́run kì yóò lọ láìsí òfo. Ìlérí tí a hun nínú gbogbo Ìwé Mímọ́ nìyẹn. Kìí ṣe pé gbogbo àdúrà ni a dáhùn gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ṣe fẹ́, ṣùgbọ́n pé ẹni tí ó ń wá ni a rí, àti pé ẹni tí a rí di ọ̀rẹ́ Ọlọ́run. Kò sí ogún tí ó tóbi jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ, kò sì sí ìkánjú ní ayé tí ó yẹ kí a tà á fún.

Nítorí náà, wá a lónìí. Kìí ṣe ọwọ́. Ọkàn. Kí o sì mọ̀ pé nísinsìnyí pàápàá, kí o tó gbé ìgbésẹ̀ kan, Ó ti yí ojú Rẹ̀ sí ọ, ó yọ̀ pé o wá.

Whether this is your first time visiting a church or you’ve attended another church for years, we understand that visiting a new church can be a bit overwhelming. To help make it a bit easier, we’ve done our best to answer some questions you may have, so your first experience is a little less overwhelming.

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from EghamVirginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Ascot, Sunbury, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.
 

Church - What to expect

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11 am. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X.

The Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham, open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.

 Prophetic word for students -

Our Sunday service starts at 11.00 and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin each service with lively worship, featuring songs from around the world, followed by inspiring, Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second. Our other Sunday services include Spirit-focused and teaching services.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or X, or catch up with the recordings later.
 

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you. 

Doors open at 10:30 for coffee and prayer.
Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.
 

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has ample parking.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility issues (those with a blue badge). Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.
 

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, regardless of age, to join the service. We offer Sunday School, which begins after worship and runs concurrently with the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes, serving children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.
 

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays. If you want to get to know us better, why not join us for Sunday lunch with some of our members? The first meal is on us (Voucher provided).  Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
