My Church is........ - Dave Food
My church is a home. Not a building, not a diary entry, but a family of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. That is what we are at Runnymede Christian Fellowship, and it is what we long for you to discover as you settle among us. Those who call us home come from Egham, Runnymede and far beyond, and every one arrived as a visitor before they became family.

My church is a place where I belong. The psalmist knew this longing when he wrote, "How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!" (Psalm 84:1). We were never meant to walk the road of faith alone. God sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6), and He has set you here, on purpose, for a purpose. On Sunday, doors open at half past ten for coffee and prayer, and a friendly face waits to welcome you, because welcome is the first word we want you to hear. Whether joining us online or face-to-face, Sunday service, midweek small group or another activity, the door is open.

My church is a body, and every part matters. Paul reminds us that "in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others" (Romans 12:5). You are not a spectator here. You carry a gift the rest of us need, whether that is worship, prayer, hospitality, teaching the little ones, or simply sharing a meal after the service. When one part is missing, the whole family feels the gap.

So this is our heart for you. We are passionate about equipping the next generation to go further than we have gone, looking forward, building with purpose and releasing God's potential. That releasing includes you.

Here then is the challenge. As you make us your home, plug in and play your part (serve-pray-give). Come and try us out, face to face or online, and find the place that has been waiting for you all along.

Power-and-Authority
The Power and Authority of the Word - Tenette Abanilla
As believers, we have God not only dwelling within us but also speaking to us through His Word. We have free access to the very thing God wants us to trust and depend on—His Word. Yet, it remains one of the most neglected and underestimated gifts in the Christian life.

Perhaps it is easy to understand why. To the natural eye, they are merely “words” on a page. But to those who have encountered the power of God's Word, there is no denying its supernatural impact. Scripture is not ordinary literature; it is God Himself speaking. John 1:1 tells us that "the Word was God." Jesus prayed, "Your word is truth" (John 17:17). His Word heals (Psalm 107:20), is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), accomplishes everything He sends it to do (Isaiah 55:11), and is spirit and life (John 6:63).

When God's Word is spoken in faith, the Holy Spirit works powerfully through it. The power does not lie in the act of speaking itself, but in God, who faithfully fulfils His Word. Speaking Scripture is an expression of our trust in Him and our agreement with His truth. Throughout the Bible, we see God choosing to accomplish His purposes through His spoken Word. At creation, God spoke, and the universe came into existence (Genesis 1). Jesus spoke to the sick, and they were healed. He spoke to storms, and they obeyed Him. When Ezekiel prophesied as God commanded, the dry bones came to life and became a vast army (Ezekiel 37). When God declared that Abraham would become the father of many nations, Abraham believed God's promise before there was any visible evidence, and God fulfilled every word He had spoken (Romans 4:17).

As believers, when we proclaim God's promises in faith, we are not trying to create reality by the power of our own words. Rather, we are agreeing with what God has already spoken, trusting Him to accomplish His will in our situation. The Holy Spirit takes God's living Word and applies it to our hearts, our circumstances, and His purposes. His Word carries the life-giving power of the risen Christ, bringing fulfilment to his every promise.

Whatever challenge or adversity you are facing today, there is a promise in God's Word that speaks to your situation. Find it. Read it. Meditate on it. Pray it. Speak it over your life with faith and confidence—not because there is power in positive words alone, but because there is power in God's eternal Word. As your heart and your speech come into agreement with Him, the Holy Spirit will strengthen your faith, renew your mind, and accomplish God's promises according to His Word.

His Word never returns empty. It always accomplishes what He desires and achieves the purpose for which He sends it (Isaiah 55:11).

SundaySchool1
RCF Kids face-to-face Sunday School at Strodes College - Julie Stevenson
We have been looking and studying with the children for the last 11 weeks, topics were God's Plan for Joseph - Come with Joseph through many adventures, dangers, good and bad times, and see how his life was part of God's plan, Jesus the Healer - Jesus demonstrates his love and compassion when he meets people who need the healing help that only he can provide and now looking at Ruth - God's love and provision is displayed in the life of Ruth.

We get the children to find the bible scripture in their Bibles and, in turn, we each read a verse or two. We then delve and find out more about the stories and do a couple of activities too. We have a few students who have come out and helped with the class, and I want to say a big thank you to them. Thank you also to Sola for supporting me and playing a big part in Sunday School.

Sunday 25th July will be the last face-to-face Sunday School until September; however, the children's devotion will continue throughout the summer holidays and will be sent out like normal. We will be back face-to-face on Sunday 6th September.

bewareofpickpockets
Criminal tactics, pay attention - Dave Food.
"A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of." (John 10:10, The Message)

Walk through any British high street today, and you'll be warned to mind your belongings. Pickpockets work the crowds; phone-snatchers weave through traffic on bicycles. In seconds, a lifetime of memories, banking details and contacts can vanish. It's an epidemic our cities know all too well.

Consider what we carry. Our wallets hold not merely cash, but identity: cards, licences, photographs of loved ones. Our mobile phones are more astonishing still. Through them we bank, we communicate, we navigate, we work, we pray. They empower us to do a hundred things once unimaginable. Small wonder thieves target them so fiercely.

Jesus spoke of a thief too, though a far more dangerous one. The enemy of our souls comes to steal our joy, kill our hope and destroy our peace. He is subtle, opportunistic, and patient. Like the pickpocket who brushes past unnoticed, he slips in when we grow careless with our spiritual watchfulness.

Scripture urges vigilance. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). And Paul reminds us: "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong" (1 Corinthians 16:13).

Yet notice the glorious contrast in our text. Whatever the thief takes, Christ gives more. He came that we might have real and abundant life. No pickpocket can steal that inheritance; no snatcher can run off with the treasure laid up in heaven.

So when you recognise patterns that show your identity being stolen, when you see your access being limited, when you sense your finances and provision being under threat, pray for the abundance of the Father to be released, rather than practising "defence against the dark-arts" in response to the enemy onslaught. Guard your possessions wisely, friends, but guard your soul more carefully still. Stay alert, stay prayerful, and keep close to the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep.

The Father has so much more for us. He is our security, and He never fails.

Wildfires2026
We are in times of great awakening - Cerys Samuel.
Church family, it is a joy to be able to share about the stirring and awakening to Jesus in this generation, but also young and old gathering and experiencing the most tangible presence of God!

I was able to spend the weekend with my Fusion Team, inviting churches and believers to come and see what God is doing in Gen-Z! We were able to launch the exciting Prayer-stream project, a new and unique adventure partnered with 24-7 prayer, to go on tour to every university in the UK within the next 3 years, starting this September!

It’s been a weekend of fulfilled expectation; God really stirred the hearts of people- to the point where over 200 of the festival committed their lives to Jesus! And church, we have a part to play in this. Two summers ago, I was in that position; I had re-committed my life to Jesus after a difficult few years and started journeying with God in my second year of University! Runnymede became a building block for me in my growth, and stepping into student/worship leadership immediately was a huge turning point for me. The church is the most important place for growth, discipleship and community, and these people need it now more than ever.

This is my encouragement to you: the church is making a massive difference in Young and Old; we are seeing hundreds of people coming to faith through Alpha courses, community outreach, and the invites you give to your friends and families! Something is stirring; what could you do about this?

calledequippedandsent
Equipped to shine for Him - Dave Food.
This Sunday marks something special for us. We launch Runnymede FDE, and with it, a renewed commitment to seeing our workplaces not as separate from our faith, but as the very ground where our faith comes alive.

For too long, many of us have lived divided lives. We worship on Sunday and work on Monday, treating the two as though they belong to different worlds. Yet Scripture tells a different story. Paul reminds us in Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." Our desks, our meetings, our negotiations and our ventures are all sacred spaces when we invite God into them.

Taking your faith to work is not about preaching to colleagues or leaving tracts on the photocopier. It is about integrity when no one is watching. It is about honesty in our dealings, generosity in our leadership, and grace under pressure. When Daniel served in Babylon, he did his work with such excellence that even his enemies could find no fault in him (Daniel 6:4). His faith was evident not in loud declarations, but in the quality of his character.

As entrepreneurs and business people, we carry a unique calling. We create jobs, we solve problems, and we steward resources. Proverbs 16:3 encourages us, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." When we surrender our ambitions to God, our businesses become vehicles for His purposes rather than monuments to our own.

Being a Faith-Driven Entrepreneur means we measure success differently. Profit matters, but so does the person we become and the people we serve along the way. We ask not only "Is this profitable?" but "Does this honour God and bless others?"

So as we begin this journey together, let us bring our whole selves to work, faith included. Let us be salt and light in the marketplace, showing that following Jesus makes us better colleagues, wiser leaders and more faithful stewards.

If you want to know more, please connect with Dave. Let the adventure begin.
