“那召你们的既是圣洁，你们在一切所行的事上也要圣洁；因为经上记着说：‘你们要圣洁，因为我是圣洁的’” (彼得前书 1:15-16)。请留意这几个字：“在一切所行的事上”。彼得并没有说只在礼拜天、在小组聚会时，或者在敬拜氛围极佳的时候才要圣洁。圣洁并非一套“礼拜天穿的西装”，在午餐时就可以脱下挂回衣橱；它是我们在周一通勤、周三开会以及周五晚上居家时所穿的“衣裳”。

我们许多人私下里把圣洁视为“属灵精英”的专利。我要直言不讳地说：圣洁乃是基督徒的常态生活。它不在于更努力地去尝试，而在于让神更深地进入我们的生命。

圣洁始于神的本性。当以赛亚看见主高高坐在宝座上时，撒拉弗呼喊道：“圣哉！圣哉！圣哉！万军之耶和华” (以赛亚书 6:3)。以赛亚的反应并非制定一套自我提升的计划，而是惊呼：“祸哉！我灭亡了！” （以赛亚书 6:5）。随后，一块燃着的炭火触碰了他的嘴唇，他的罪孽便被除去了。“圣洁”意味着“分别出来”。神是全然纯洁良善的，祂邀请我们分享祂的性情。在我们活出圣洁生活之前，我们已先因耶稣的宝血而成圣（希伯来书 10:10）。祂拣选我们，是要我们“在祂面前成为圣洁、无有瑕疵”（以弗所书 1:4）。我们顺服并非为了博取接纳；我们顺服，是因为我们已被接纳。A.W. 陶恕（A.W. Tozer）曾说，当我们思想神时，脑海中浮现的意念，正是关于我们自身最重要的事情。对神认识浅薄，会导致对罪漫不经心；对神有伟大的认识，则会带来喜乐而敬虔的生活。

圣洁是一种每日的降服。保罗劝勉我们将身体献上，当作“活祭，是圣洁的，是神所喜悦的”（罗马书 12:1）；耶稣也呼召我们天天背起自己的十字架（路加福音 9:23）。“活祭”的难处在于，它总会不断地从祭坛上爬走。昨天的降服无法承载今天的压力。因此，我们要更新心思，而不效法这个世界（罗马书 12:2）。我们要与神保持即时的和好，深知“我们若认自己的罪，神是信实的，是公义的，必要赦免我们的罪”（约翰一书 1:9）。同时，我们要领受祂的怜悯，因为祂的怜悯“每早晨都是新的”（耶利米哀歌 3:22-23）。圣洁并非一蹴而就的完美，而是一生的方向，是接连不断的“我愿意”。

圣洁是在平凡生活中活出来的。当无人注视时，约瑟拒绝了波提乏的妻子，并问道：“我怎能作这大恶，得罪神呢？” （创世记 39:9）。但以理曾在巴比伦政府的权力核心任职，但他“立志不玷污自己”（但以理书 1:8），并且一日三次在敞开的窗前祷告（但以理书 6:10）。他的圣洁并未被隐藏起来；它在工作中显明，并影响了一个国家。圣洁的试炼往往不在祷告会中，而在于诚实报销费用、在漫长一天结束时耐心的言语，以及深夜里我们在屏幕上浏览的内容。“无论做什么，都要从心里做，像是给主做的”（歌罗西书 3:23）。修道院厨师劳伦斯弟兄发现，在锅碗瓢盆之间，神与他同在，正如他跪下祷告时一样亲近。你的办公室、教室、厨房或卡车驾驶室，都可以成为圣洁之地。

圣洁是靠圣灵的大能，而非靠自身的力量。神从不要求我们凭一己之力去“制造”圣洁。“你们当顺着圣灵而行，就不放纵肉体的情欲了”（加拉太书 5:16）。仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔和节制是果子，而非工厂的产品（加拉太书 5:22-23）；当我们常在葡萄树上时，果子便会生长（约翰福音 15:5）。是神在我们里面运行，“使你们立志行事，为要成就他的美意”（腓立比书 2:13）。看看早期教会：平凡的渔夫们祷告，震动随之而来，他们便被圣灵充满（使徒行传 4:31）。圣洁与能力相辅相成，因为洁净的器皿就是合用的器皿（提摩太后书 2:21）。

应许在此：“愿赐平安的神亲自使你们全然成圣……那召你们的本是信实的，他必成就这事”（帖撒罗尼迦前书 5:23-24）。请留意是谁在做工。我们的本分是保持亲近、保持顺服，并不断地回应“愿意”。

圣洁也是……这是一项团队运动。“我们要彼此相顾，激发爱心，勉励行善”（希伯来书 10:24）。我们本不该独自走这条路。雅各教导我们要彼此认罪，互相代求（雅各书 5:16）。我们的“生命小组”绝非可有可无的点缀；它们是“铁磨铁，磨出刃来”（箴言 27:17）的场所，也是让世人看见神恩典的地方。

这个世界不需要声音更响亮的基督徒，而需要更圣洁的基督徒。

Whether this is your first time visiting a church or you’ve attended another church for years, we understand that visiting a new church can be a bit overwhelming. To help make it a bit easier, we’ve done our best to answer some questions you may have, so your first experience is a little less overwhelming.

Runnymede Christian Fellowship is a church based in Egham but serving a much larger geographical area. Those who call us home come from Egham, Virginia Water, Staines, Englefield Green, Egham Hythe, Pooley Green, Maidenhead, Ascot, Camberley, Sunbury, Heathrow, Slough, Ashford, Sunninghill, Sunningdale, Thorpe, Windsor, Woking and beyond.

Our church is a community of believers who gather regularly to share life and demonstrate God's love. We do this by encouraging and serving each other and the community. We believe in the power of prayer and are always happy to pray for you.

Church - What to expect

Our Sunday service is available to stream online at 11 am. You can join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or X.

The Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane in Egham, open to all, so if you would like to join us, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions, please call us on 01784 637010.

We run a physical Sunday School most weeks. If you would like your children to receive a weekly Sunday School teaching pack that you can do from home, please email us at admin@e-runnymede.co.uk so that we can send you the materials.

Sunday Venue at Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham

Our Sunday service starts at 11.00 and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin each service with lively worship, featuring songs from around the world, followed by inspiring, Bible-based teaching. All our sermons are recorded and are available as a podcast after the service.

We have a monthly cycle of Sunday services, with our Communion Service on the first Sunday of each month and an All-Age All-Nation Service on the second. Our other Sunday services include a Lingering (spirit-filled) and Teaching service.

We have consciously adopted being a blended church, that is, both online and face-to-face. You are welcome to join us on Livestream or via Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or X, or catch up with the recordings later.

Joining us in person

Visiting a new and unfamiliar church for the first time can be intimidating, but we want to ensure you feel welcome and enjoy your time with us. A friendly face will be waiting to meet you at the entrance and welcome you.

Doors open at 10:30 for coffee and prayer.
Our Sunday Service starts at 11:00 and typically runs for about 90 minutes, normally followed by tea and coffee.

Driving and Car Parking

Our Sunday Venue is Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR, which has ample parking.

We have plenty of parking spaces right outside the building. Spaces are reserved near the entrance for anyone with mobility issues (those with a blue badge). We also have step free access to the hall. Please let us know if you need to use one of these spaces, have any special needs, or require any assistance.

The car parking area is a public area, so please ensure that your children are under your control and that, for their safety, they do not run around in the car park.

Public Transport

Our Sunday Meetings are in Coopers Hall, Strodes College, Strodes College Lane, Egham, TW20 9DR.
It's just off Egham High Street, so if you have found Esquires, then you are nearly there.

We are very close to bus stops in Church Street with buses to Slough, Windsor, Staines, Heathrow, Sunbury and beyond.
Our Sunday venue is less than a 5-minute walk from Egham Railway Station.

Visiting with children?

Everyone is welcome at RCF. We encourage everyone, regardless of age, to join the service. We offer Sunday School, which begins after worship and runs concurrently with the sermon for 30 to 40 minutes, serving children aged 4 to 12. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a shorter All-Aged All Nations Service, where the children stay for the worship and the sermon.

After Church

We chat over coffee and biscuits after church on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sundays. If you want to get to know us better, why not join us for Sunday lunch with some of our members? The first meal for students is on us (Voucher provided). Please contact us and let us know. We would love to share a meal and get to know you better!
